Question:	How does the rail not slide after installing
Answer:	It did not fit my 4Runner, as the bars on the truck were too big, and it would not clamp tightly. I doubt it would work very well for your Rav 4, this rack was not worth the price. It would also only be about 10" wider than your racks, definitely not the 60" that is advertised.

Question:	How long are the ratchet tie downs
Answer:	It entirely depends on the shape of your car. If your roof is substantially curved to allow space for your head then there's a chance your head will be touching the strap sometimes. I'm 5'11" and drive a Nissan Rogue Sport and the straps are really a hassle. You can't wear hats at all or your head will constantly be in contact with a strap. And yeah I've moved it forward and backward.

Question:	There's a list of sizes, SR001, 002, 003, etc, and no explanation. Anyone have any idea
Answer:	Easy. The horizontal cross bar is locked in to the base pieces (by you) with adjustable allen-wrench bolts. That gives you a fixed piece even before you place it on the car. So, when the (also adjustable) base pieces are placed on the car with the already fastened cross bar, and then tightened on to the door jamb, the end result is a fixed rack that has been tightened onto the body of the car. It works great, although it's not a bad idea to take your allen wrench with you and check for tightness every now and then. After carrying for 1200 miles with two kayaks on top, I noticed that one of the base pieces had slid forward (metal probably expanded a bit on our trip to a warmer climate), so I just tightened the base. No sweat!

Answer:	Rola 59504 Vortex Roof Mounted Cargo Basket : The front and rear tubes are bowed. If you measure down the middle it measures 48"inside the tubes . If you measure down each side it measure 46"in side the tubes. The width is 37" inside the tubes. The depth is 4". Hope this helps .

Answer:	There are 3 separate tube diameters. The top tube which rings the basket is 1.5 in diameter. the bottom tube, which also rings the basket is 1 in diameter, the cross pieces which connect the sides are 3/4 in diameter.

Answer:	The black rubber is 25.2inch long, and so is the loading capacity.
Question:	What material is the shell made of? Is it really freeze-proof
Answer:	Depends on the length of brackets. The seller has prepared brackets of two lengths, the applicable bar width is 2.4inch and 1.6inch respectively. Therefore, it is best to measure the width of your bar before buying a ski rack.
Question:	How long is black rubber
Answer:	Yes (Per another answer on here and they have attached a picture with this on 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk)
