Answer:	None of our racks are approved for use on a trailer mounted receiver hitch. Any trailer or trailered vehicle (including 5th wheel type) has a slight side to side motion that's very low frequency (1 to 1-1/2 times per second) that fatigues the steel from which the racks are manufactured. The fatigue first happens at a molecular level, but eventually (several thousands of cycles later) a visible crack will appear. Once the crack has formed, it will enlarge, finally to the point where the rack drops off the vehicle and the rack (and bikes) impact the roadway. This is also a dangerous situation for whoever may be following the trailer on the highway. We have seen 100+ incidents where the consumers/end user has not taken this advice and suffered disastrous results. I've even had phone calls from consumers who said they read that advice (do not use on a trailer) and ignored it, only to discover a tragic end result. So . . . don't do it. If you insist on doing it regardless of the above, please use some other companies’ rack.

Answer:	I've had 3 adult bikes on the rack. 2 adult and 2 kids bikes should be OK. Be aware that putting 3 or 4 bikes on the rack puts a lot of weight on the very rear of the vehicle, making the front lighter. The handling may be affected. Also, the weight makes the rack scrape on the ground when going over a dip.
Question:	I have a fat tire ebike. The top bar is not straight. Would this rack hold my bike
Answer:	We have several bikes and some with non-straight top bars work at an angle, others need a top bar, like the Allen sports adapter bar. I would not recommend this if your fat bike is a high end fat bike, because it wears the paint where it clamps on the bike (another good reason for the adapter bar). I know I plan to get a wheel rack when I get my full suspension.
Question:	Can this be used with a pick up truck
Answer:	Yes, I have used it with my truck. If memory serves, I was able to open the tailgate just fine (when its in the "out" position that is).

Answer:	I have never had to interact with Saris. $2 for the part and $18 to cover the box, someone to go pick the part, put it in a box and ship it probably covers their cost. Not terrible and less cost than going to the store and buying it but kind of misses the point of "lifetime warranty" unless you did something silly to break the part. Still, I bought a Krause faucet and 3 years later it developed a leak. I called and bang, no questions asked, a new part arrived in 5 days with absolutely no charge at all. I think Saris could take a lesson here. Kudos to Krause by the way. Super customer service.

Answer:	Hi, you can use a 2" trailer hitch on an RV, BUT I would be very careful. The hitch on an RV is very far away from the rear wheel so any bump would jostle the rack and bikes more. This can cause premature metal fatigue or loosen the bikes from the rack. Again, you would not want to ride in the back of an RV for the same reason.
Question:	Can you fit 4 bikes? Or is this only for 2 and you have to buy the extension separately
Answer:	We purchased the 4 bike platform model. It is nice as it totally supports all the bikes from wheels up. All 4 have a platform under the wheels, as well as support at the frame. Another nice feature, is that the way it is designed, it allows you to take off the second part if you only have 2 bikes. It separates by a lock 'key' between 2 bikes and the 4 bikes. So it gives you options to be a 2 bike holder or a 4 bike holder. Very solid, doesn't bump around too much from the hitch.

Answer:	I did not have any trouble at all. This is the best bike carrier I have ever used. Suggest you ensure you're using the correct bolts in the correct locations.

Answer:	I used on rear of 20ft camper for 6-7 trips. I Still use it on the truck. I suggest wrapping the bike clamps with tennis racket grip tape to help protect your bike from scratches.
