You do have to angle it just right and it sits on the rack at an angle, but it has never been a problem for me and I feel like my bike rides securely. Answer:	No. you need to purchase and extender (not sure what they really called up-down... something) it's available in kuat.com and amazon.

Answer:	I'm not too familiar with the Jeep Wrangler. I use my Kuat Sherpa 2.0 on a GMC Yukon with a standard 2" Reese hitch without an extender. The bike rack tilts down far enough (even when loaded with bikes) that I've never had an issue opening the rear, top hinged hatch door.

Answer:	You will have to remove it for any automatic car wash. It interferes with the machines and they'll make you remove it. I am specifically looking at this rack, however, because it is light and tool free to remove. It will last and maintain its value much better if you don't leave it outside in the elements as well.

Answer:	The NV 2.0 can handle more weight (60 lb. per tray - Sherpa 2.0 is 40 lb. per tray). NV 2.0 with 2" hitch allows for 2-bike add-on. The NV 2.0 can also handle larger tire fat bikes (with adapter). The Sherpa 2.0 is a lighter weight rack.
