- The skate's closure system should be secured snugly ensuring the heel is locked in. It also helps to give the heel a little tap on the floor to push it into the rear of the boot.

- When standing with knees bent or skating, the heel should be secure and have no to minimal lift. In the skating position the heel tends to settle back into the skate and demonstrate the true fit. A skate that is too loose can compromise ankle support

- Toes should not be pressed against the front of the skate or cramped.

Answer:	They are a bit narrow, comfortable fit. I returned mine because of the clasp on top. It is way too long (goes to about the middle front of the boot) so it doesn’t close tight enough if you have smaller ankles like I do.
