Answer:	I'd say it is cotton. I just now trickled a little water on it(sweat band inside the hat) and it soaked right in. Polyester won't do that. Not 100% conclusive but the best I can do for ya. Hope this helps. Also for what ever it's worth, this is my new everyday hat.
