What you need to do though is continually install the free software updates for PowerDVD found here: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/powerdvd-ultra/patches_en_US.html And also continually update your GPU drivers and disc drive firmware. These are the three things you must do to continue to play Blu-rays, as the movie studios update the keys required for playback. Answer:	I couldn't even get it to function in ANY computer, two of which were intel i3 CPU's with 8Gb ram and 1-4 Tb HD's. This software is full of unresolved coding issues, STAY AWAY. Attempts to get tech support assistance was worthless, and attempts to get a refund went nowhere. Cyberlink POWER DVD is a better product, have been using it to play blueray and standard dvd's without ANY problem.

Answer:	From what I read online about 4 months ago when I bought this(not through amazon) there isn't any video software that can run a 4k blu ray. I think it's a hardware problem and it's also most likely a copyright issue with Sony. My blu ray drive wouldn't even recognize a 4k disc. Forgot to mention in my original answer, if you can get a blu ray drive that at least recognizes the disc, you may be able to rip it from the disc and still watch it in 4k. I've always been of the opinion that an actual blu ray looks a bit clearer than a file that was ripped from a blu ray but i'ts probably still better than upscaling.

Answer:	I think CyberLink is a very liberal, customer oriented company. Their Tech Support has always been excellent. There are companies that try to bleed you death by only allowing use on one PC. They limit the use to one PC by using a server that identifies you each time you activate their program. You know the program you bought, but don't really own, even though you paid for it. I have the complete set of CyberLink products. They have never tried to limit me to only using one of my PCs. In fact, they've always been very reasonable and cooperative with me. That's why I continue to buy off of them. Some software companies are owned by 1st class control freaks. They must get great satisfaction limiting how you use your equipment.

Question:	Can you rip dvds using this software? if not, what software do you recommend to do that
Answer:	If you created the DVD then you can copy it. There used to be commercially available software that would copy protected DVD's but sellers are wary of infringing on copyright law. Nothing intrinsically wrong with creating copies for your personal use of something you already paid for but the problem has been differentiating that from copying and reselling. I don't know about viewing 3-D formats I haven't tried that yet.
Question:	can it convert commecial blu ray movies to mp4? if so, is the picture quality of the mp4 the same as the disc
Answer:	no it will not convert , try 123 copy DVD to do that

Question:	Is this Software Compatible with Windows
Answer:	p. kelly. I just did this so I am going to share it with you. I was having issues with Cyberlink and Sony Vegas after I updated to Windows 10 and sounds like you had the same issue. So I hope you see this and it is helpful to other with COMPATIBILITY ISSUES in Windows 10. Go to task manager...processes...definitely select MORE DETAILS at the bottom there. Then...go to whatever is giving you issues...PowerProducer 6.0 whatever. Right click on it and select properties...go into properties and select COMPATIBILITY. You can run the compatible buddy trouble shooter...or Shooter McGavin...whatever they call it now. Then follow the steps and you will see that you can have it set to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7...wherever it was running just fine and dandy. Eventually...and these companies SHOULD HAVE BEEN READY WITH AN UPDATE BY JULY 29TH, 2015...and worked out compatibility issues after that perhaps? But for now...that is what you can do...reset it via Windows 10 task manager...properties...compatibility...OH and a key note...it will make you TEST it on your program...first before allowing you to click next...takes a second. IT TOTALLY FIXED ALL MY PROBLEMS IMMEDIATELY and Windows should really let users know this handy trick I just basically got lucky experimenting with just now and it worked PERFECTLY and believe me I was going bonkers. I go to open files before this...AND THEY WOULD FREEZE ON ME. So please advise...this saved me. I have a business to run and do not have time for delays. You stay out of trouble you crazy kids...and always remember...to put the covers on your TPS reports and this is Shooter's tour.

Question:	Anyone watched 3d movies with this? i have a 3d television and want to play 3d movies through my htpc
Answer:	I have new TV and video card. Both are HDMI 2.0. My TV (4K LG OLED, passive 3D) plays 3D blurays beautifully at full HD (1080 each eye) when using a bluray player, but PowerDVD absolutely will not play them at all. Very disappointed with this since I have lots of bluray ISOs I would rather play via my media center PC than have to play using a bluray player. Did a great deal of researching online and tried everything... PowerDVD simply does not support passive 3D at any resolution through HDMI 2.0. Scoured PowerDVD's support website and they have absolutely no mention of HDMI 2.0. If you have or are getting new equipment, PowerDVD is not ready to work with 3D and no idea if or when they will be.
Question:	I read a review that says PowerDVD will expire and won't play BD movies after awhile, and then I would have to buy again to play, is it true
Answer:	That is true for me. I have upgraded three times already. I decided I won't upgrade anymore as they force you to upgrade by disabling your playback feature from the software. I have my musical library I ripped using POWER DVD 16 because, for some reason, the previous version would not recognize the library. Now after I went through the painful effort of ripping over 300 hundred CD's or so, things were working fine until 1 year later things don't work anymore. Anytime I launch the product it pops up a message to update. I thought it was some kind of free updates to resolve the issue. No, instead they redirect you to their site and show their price for their products. So freaking annoying! Now, I have Grove Music to play my music library. I don't know how they can be so unethical in their business practice. I also bought Realplaer/RealTimes for $30+ and it is for lifetime and it comes with download and conversion features if you want to download music from Youtube.
