Answer:	Not something I would do. Maybe a spray and cloth to spot clean. It's a waxed canvas leather backpack, I use mine everyday and has been carried on 6 flights this year and most of the time ended up under the seat, and still looks good. if concerned about it getting dirty, the darker might be a better selection for you.

Answer:	The zippers are very tight and there are two on each, so they can be pulled closed on the sides. I wouldn't use this pack if I cycled or walked and I knew it would be continually rained on - it isn't repellent. However, if you got stuck in the rain for a minute or so, it will likely not leak into the inner compartments or through the leather in that amount of time.

Though I use it as a diaper bag for my two boys so, perhaps someone like a student who uses it for textbooks and stuff would think different. Generally speaking though, it is more well padded than the average backpack.

Answer:	I have the XL bag and my bag can fit my 16" inch laptop fine. Included in there as well, 1 to 2 heavy textbooks, 1 large paper binder notebook, schedule book, and my personal small book to read on the go. In the front pockets it fits well my glasses case, phone charger, and other small items I need for the day. Essentially this bag can carry a good amount and when you adjust the straps it is pretty comfortable to carry. I walk around all day with this bag and have yet to complain about it. Plus side it is durable and is lasting good so far. Hopefully it'll work optimally for you as well.

I have most essential for a purse a pretty decent size wallet, epi pen bag, blood sugar monitor, checkbook, iPad and a iPad cover(to hold all my papers in and lots of loose items.. and I still have plenty room to add more items if I need too..you also have a few pockets on the outside as well.. I would buy and if your not happy you can always return it.. I have never had a problem with returns ..
