Question:	Does this software (ultra version) play 4k blu rays or will it? I know it supports 4k video playback but I felt the need to make the distinction
Answer:	From what I read online about 4 months ago when I bought this(not through amazon) there isn't any video software that can run a 4k blu ray. I think it's a hardware problem and it's also most likely a copyright issue with Sony. My blu ray drive wouldn't even recognize a 4k disc. Forgot to mention in my original answer, if you can get a blu ray drive that at least recognizes the disc, you may be able to rip it from the disc and still watch it in 4k. I've always been of the opinion that an actual blu ray looks a bit clearer than a file that was ripped from a blu ray but i'ts probably still better than upscaling.

Answer:	I think CyberLink is a very liberal, customer oriented company. Their Tech Support has always been excellent. There are companies that try to bleed you death by only allowing use on one PC. They limit the use to one PC by using a server that identifies you each time you activate their program. You know the program you bought, but don't really own, even though you paid for it. I have the complete set of CyberLink products. They have never tried to limit me to only using one of my PCs. In fact, they've always been very reasonable and cooperative with me. That's why I continue to buy off of them. Some software companies are owned by 1st class control freaks. They must get great satisfaction limiting how you use your equipment.

Question:	for some reason i was unable to burn to dvd after processing a vhs tape. there is a mpg output file. how do i get vidbox to burn that mpg file to dvd
Answer:	Directly after recording a file, it should move to the Step 4 screen which will have the Burn DVD option. Clicking that option should allow burning to disc. If the program fails to burn successfully, you should be able to try again as long as you do not close the program.
Question:	I want to convert old vhs tapes to dvd's my old vcr has only white and yellow cable connections.(no red) will this work on my vcr
Answer:	As has been explained, your machine is apparently so old it only recorded monaural sound. That's why just one audio cable coming out. That's okay, but you might have to finagle to get sound on both channels of your digital recording. Sometimes, if you put just one audio source into the left input of the recorder, it will default to put that same audio on both left and right, so when you play it back on your stereo TV you don't just hear sound from one side of the room. If it does not work that way, you can just get an adapter, one plug in and two plugs out, and thus fill up both audio channels. Super simple and cheap and buy it anywhere, at any stereo shop, or here on Amazon no doubt.
Question:	Does it work for mini dv tapes
Answer:	you don't need it for mini dv, they are already digital. You just need to find the correct wire to connect it to your PC and windows will make the video. for my mini dv I needed a fire wire cable, and a slightly older pc that had a firewire jack.

Answer:	You cant really edit the video with this software. This does a pretty good job converting your 8mm tape to digital files. You install the software, plug the component plugs from your 8mm camera/player to the box. Another cable coming out of the box plugs into your laptop via usb. After that, you startup the software follow the simple prompts until you get to a record screen. Hit play on your camera/player and when the video comes up on your computer screen click the record button. This will create an mpeg video file. Once you create the mpeg video file you can always edit your video files in another video editing application.Once you are done editing your video file you can always burn it to a DVD.

Answer:	Yes, it has all the cables you need. It has the UBS connector and it has the three RCA cables (red,white,and yellow). It does not have a S-cable but there is a place to connect it if you want to use one for slightly better video output.
Question:	How do I know if my pc has a dvd burner
Answer:	Generally, the drive will have "DVD Recorder", "DVD Multi Recorder", or similar on the drive tray door. In Windows explorer, when you click on "This PC", the drive should show up as "DVD RW Drive (?:)" where ? is your drive letter. You can also right-click on your drive letter in Windows Explorer under "This PC", then click on properties. There should be a "Recording" tab on your properties dialog box. Clicking on the "Recording" tab should list your drive with a label of "DVD RW Drive".

Answer:	Some can be ripped to your pc then to DVD (cd's may be too small to fit a movie unless its under 700 megabytes).After saving to your pc, you can use the program or any other program that will burn a DVD. The DVD will only hold up to 4.2 gigabytes so make sure of the file size before burning or it have to go on to 2 DVD's.When burning, make sure there is an option to make the DVD playable on your TV or other devices (i.e. portable dvd player). Depending on the age of the player, older models may not play the dvd while newer ones will.In the US, players will only take a dvd if it is formated for NTSC. PAL formats are for other countries.I have ripped older movies but found newer ones have a copyright block that will prevent you from ripping them. So if you are hoping to rip Frozen to another dvd, it may not happen.I have used VHStoDVD recently on home made VHS tapes but had problems burning while I was on Windows 8. Answer:	The mixed answers here might be because of the following behavior: You have to plug the device into the usb port *AFTER* launching the application. If the device is already plugged in then it does not record any sound. However if you plug in the device after the app is running and asking you to plug it in it does record sound and works just fine. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.11.2.

Answer:	I had to work with the Corel help desk for over 10 days to get mine to work on Windows 10. The software disk that came with it was labeled Windows 7 and 8 and Copyrighted 2013 (before Windows 10 was released). The help desk eventually sent me to a link where I could download a new version of Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle which was Copyrighted 2020. Maybe I just got a box that has been sitting on the shelves for years?
