ATTENTION MAC USERS - Beginning with macOS 10.15 (Catalina), Apple has eliminated the option to run 32-bit apps on the Mac. If you wish to continue using our applications, which currently require 32-bit support, do not upgrade your operating system past Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave). Alternatively, you can retain an older Mac operating system on a separate drive partition. eMedia developers are currently working on software updates to support Catalina and future versions of macOS, but this is a major undertaking. eMedia is currently unable to foresee how long it will take to create these new versions. If you purchased your eMedia software on or after September 7, 2019, upon receiving proof of purchase eMedia Music will provide you with a free upgrade to a macOS 10.15 (Catalina)-compatible version of an eMedia application when it becomes available. All other registered owners of eMedia software will be qualified for discounted upgrades.

User questions & answers
Question: | What kind of cable do you need to plug into you computer? Is it a 1/4" to |
Answer: | You won't get good results if you just plug directly into your line input jack with an adapter because the audio will be too low. You need some kind of preamp designed to convert "instrument level" signal to "line level." This type of solution is best because it has a headphone jack so you can hear the audio from the software as well as your instrument (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I916Q0O). You won't be using their bundled software with Bass Method. You just need the audio interface. Another solution is to put a USB mic in front of your bass amplifier. That way you can hear both at the same time. |
Question: | What is the difference between this and the yellow eMedia Bass for Dummies |
Answer: | eMedia Bass Method v2 is fully interactive. You plug your bass into your computer and it informs you if you are in tempo, in key, fingering the strings cleanly, etc. etc. Bass for Dummies is not....just another bass lesson dvd, albeit an excellent one. |
Question: | Has anyone installed this on a Windows 8 or 8.1 PC? Any issues |
Answer: | No trouble with win 8.1 professional. |
Question: | Does it work with Mac OS-X |
Answer: | It does! The current version of this product works with Mac OS X 10.5 to 10.13. Check the version number on your disc. If it is lower than the version number posted on our downloads page, then get the download version. You can use your serial number to unlock it just the same. http://www.emediamusic.com/software?product=BM1 -- Hope this helps! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this software able to teach left handed players? Can you see the chord diagrams, fret board, illustrations in left handed view |
Answer: | I checked it out for youl. On the main screen it shows right handed chords. So does the chord dictionary. BUT the fretboard can be displayed at anytime and it has a left handed view, that shows how each chord would be played from that position. So, it would be a bit more messing around for you than me to get going on it, because you'd have to compare it to the left handed fretboard, but very doable. Hope that helps you! |
Question: | Will this help a brand new beginner learn to play? Or this more advance |
Answer: | This software is aimed at the beginner. For a more advanced course, check out eMedia Intermediate Guitar Method (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006JI3QYY). Thanks for asking! |
Question: | Is this product in spanish too |
Answer: | Doesn't appear to be. |
Question: | can this work with windows |
Answer: | I have version #5 and it works with my Windows 7. If you have the original box, it states on the bottom that it will work with Windows 7. |
