Question:	I am currently running fl studio 12. do i need to update to fl 20 or fl fruity fire edition to use this hardware
Answer:	I will try to help, but I am not a wind-instrument player and do not own an EWI controller. However, I do own Garritan World Instruments sound library, and I use it with a MIDI-controller KEYBOARD with an expression pedal and a sustain pedal attached to the keyboard. The software comes with Aria Player engine which includes a graphical user interface for mapping and manipulating various MIDI messages to breath, tongue, and bite controls. In my case, I use the Modulation Wheel (MIDI CC#1), one of the sliders (mapped to CC#2), the Expression Pedal (CC#11), and how hard I hit the keys (velocity) to control the volume and timbre of each sound in order to imitate breath, tongue, and bite controls. Because I mainly use my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) for studio recordings, it is easier to manipulate those pedal, knobs, wheels, and sliders. It will take some practice for live performances. I am guessing that your EWI will make those things much easier. You need to figure out which MIDI messages your EWI can produce for the breath controls that you use, and check against the World Instruments user's manual to map them.
