Answer:	The saw can easily cut the full width of a 12" board when making a 90 degree straight or bevel cut. Angle cuts will reduce the maximum span of the cut.

Answer:	Maximum board length will depend on the strength of the operator and if/how well the jointer is anchored. I would think 8’ would be doable by most. Comes down to how well you can hold the workpiece down flat on roughly 16” of table before the blade.

Answer:	I am 99% certan that the tables are cast aluminum, and the fence is aluminum. The weight, color and feel make this pretty evident. If it were cast iron it would weigh twice as much and be prone to rust. This jointer is as good functionally as any other. But because of its light weight it must be secured to a stable heavy base. It also needs a bit more tuning than other models. But if you are going to own any precision tools that is something you should become capable of.

Answer:	from the bottom of the planer stand to the top of the planer intake is 2 1/2 inches. Our planer is also mounted on a plate to the stand so that adds additional height too. The table is 2 inches thick at the intake.

Question:	What width of boards will fit in this jig, and what is the max thickness of boards that can fit in it? Will it handle 4/4 stock
Answer:	Hi Derek, I have not seen a way to bevel the cut to match the door bevel. The jig mounts square to the door. I have had the same question myself early on. It seems to be ok though, because the lockset hardware doesn't bevel either, the plunger plates are square to the door and do not follow the door bevel. We have not had an issue with the 5 degree or so bevel on the door looking bad or functioning badly. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does it contain the essential guide rings
Answer:	There is a mortise template for a 5/8" x 4-1/4" lockset included. The faceplate templates are for 7/8" or 1" wide faceplates. There is no template for 11/16" faceplate included with the kit. The Trend Lock website (www.trenddirectuk.com) lists other available templates.

Answer:	Yes the template pivots to match the bevel Not real familiar with Baldwin products as I own a commercial door company and I have never seen a beveled faceplate it is the door that is beveled in my experience

Answer:	I don’t see that size listed. The closest to that size is 22.5mm x 152.5mm. Not sure if you are referring to the faceplate size or the actual lock body. This jig has the capability to be used with a deep plunging router to mill out lock-sets that fit deep into the door. There are templates that are used to deep cut for the lock body and other templates that are used to mortise out the face plate for such a lock set

Question:	What router speeds are recommended for the freud 1" (dia.) double flute straight bit with 1/2" shank
Answer:	Freud says that 1” to 1 and 1/4” inch diameter cutters should be turned at 18,000 rpm max. I found this on their website and on the box the bit came in.
Question:	Can this be used on a drill press
Answer:	If it fits into your chuck, you can use it in the drill press, no problem. 1/2 inch shank, so you need at least a half inch chuck on the drill press.
Question:	Can this be used for dado for plywood or would the undersized bits be better
Answer:	The undersized bit works much better for a tight fit this bit creates a sloppy fit for standard 3/4" plywood which is actually 23/32".
Question:	Do they make this bit in a 1/4" shank version
Answer:	Can we just say this would be a terrible bit to run on only a 1/4" shaft. This is simply an accident waiting for a victim. If the manufacturer of your router only made available a 1/4" collet then then maybe they are trying to say something. If you just lost the 1/2" collet you had and are trying to get by on a budget, just don't. It isn't worth it. Either buy a larger router or collet for this cutter or get yourself a smaller cutter for your equipment.
