Answer:	I believe a 3”. I am not sure if jet still offers a 3” spindle, but they did when I got mine. But I had to go to the jet web site. Good luck.

Answer:	Base bottom is 12" square, top plate is '19 high. It's a fine instrument and I enjoy using it.

Answer:	On my Jet sander, the spindles and sleeves vary from 5-1/2 to 6". (The smaller diameter sleeves are the longer ones for some reason. ) I see no problem putting 6" sleeves on 5-1/2" spindles, and vice versa. I like this sander a lot, by the way.

Answer:	No. The table is not adjustable.

Answer:	Not as loud as belt sander. If I was doing a lot of sanding, I would wear hearing protection. It's about 60 to 70 dbs when sanding. The belt sander is about 70 to 80 when sanding. Prolonged use : ear plugs

Answer:	If the sanding drum in installed flush with the rubber core, the "as-designed" safe sanding height ( distance from the table top to the bottom of the drum downstroke) is 3 3/4 inches. The stroke is 1/2 inch, so it will sand a total of 4 1/4 inches if utilizing the upstroke.
Question:	Anyone find a place to put the extra washers? It's driving me nuts having, seemingly, no where to put them
Answer:	All those neat little places that are designed to hold the accessories are designed by people that don't use the equipment. All the washers, sanding sleeves, mandrills for my machine are in a box not far from the sander. Anything stored as per design would end up covered in sawdust and would have to be removed every time a vacuum or air gun is used for clean up. Cigar box (or similar) is just fine.

The WEN sanding sleeve kit Amazon recommends for this sander are the standard 4 1/2" long and are meant for the WEN sanding table...not this portable sander. I suppose you could cut them to 3", but the kit also includes 2 larger diameter sleeves that can't be used with this sander. Big Horn is the only manufacturer I can find on Amazon that makes 3" long sanding sleeves.

Question:	Can you buy a 3" drum for this sander
Answer:	based on what I have read and the drop in plate that will accept a 3 inch drum. yes, the real question, do you really need one. May be nice to have, but in all my experience, nice is not always necessary. If you are in big production runs that require that size, then it might be worth the additional cost. Just looking at the need from a different view point.

Answer:	This sander requires a conventional 120 volt outlet. While the machine doesn't draw a great deal of current, I would suggest that it should be plugged into a 20 amp circuit. Good luck. I think you will like the machine.

Answer:	Question unanswerable without more detail on Grizzly site and Amazon price references. Further, are you comparing the same spindle products. In their most recent catalog Grizzly offers a range of spindle sanders with different capabilities and specifications ranging roughly from $150 to $1,100. PS. The G1071 is a Great product no matter where you purchase. Sturdy construction, reliable and works as advertised. I have been using one for the last year and am satisfied.
Question:	How is the machine delivered? Totally assembled or in several boxes
Answer:	I picked my sander up at the Muncy, PA facility. It came in one box. The table, throat plates, spindles, etc., were neatly packed and assembly was very easy.

Answer:	No. You can buy those from any hardware store.
Question:	Will these fit a Ryobi OSS450 oscillating sander
Answer:	If you have a Harbor Freight store in your area buy a set of 5 sanding sleeves. If they fit the Ryobi sander (they probably will) then the PowerTec rubber drums will fit. Hint: Rub very fine sawdust on the rubber drums before sliding the sanding sleeves on.
Question:	will these drums work with a drill press
Answer:	Possibly if you have an arbor that will fit in your drill press that you can mount the drums on.
Question:	Do these fit the ridgid eb
Answer:	The five drums in the Powertec Oscillating Drum Set are 4-1/2” long and are designed to works on with 1/2” spindles. Our research indicates that four of the five drums will work on the Ridgid EB4424. The 3” drum appears to be too large to work in the opening of the Ridgid sander.
