Answer:	For the metal part of the piece, if it is silver, gold (14 k and 18 k) and platinum, use the white cloth. If your piece has porous stones such as opals, pearls, malachite, turquoise, and the like, avoid the stone when using the white cloth. If the white cloth accidentally touches the stone is not going to damage it. To clean this type of gems, use the gray cloth, which is untreated. For other stones known as hard stones, such as amethyst, peridot, citrine, aquamarine, emerald, diamond and sapphire, you can use the white cloth.

Answer:	The polishing cloth has the cleaning ingredients impregnated in the white cloth. These ingredients get released every time a piece of jewelry is polished. Washing the cloth will remove the remaining cleaning ingredients, for that reason it shouldn't be washed. Something important to know: The black stains left in the cloth are the tarnish and the contaminants that had been removed from the metal. The polishing cloth keeps cleaning even having the black stains. You can keep using it as long as you see your pieces getting shiny. The gray part of the cloth is untreated and you can wash it any way you wish and keep it to buffer plated pieces of jewelry or soft porous stones (good for eyeglasses and cell phones too!) Question:	there really 5 sheets like it says on the photo or less
Answer:	The length of time that your silver stays tarnish free depends on where you live. The gases in the air are what causes tarnish. I grew up in a small Texas town where there is a lot of oil activity, drilling for oil and many completed wells, so the finished wells had gas flares, where they burned off the gas that came out with the oil. I use my silver for Thanksgivimg and Christmas and had to polish it every year. I bought some black paper strips that go in with your silver when you store it and they did a fantastic job of preventing my silver from tarnishing. Any silver polish is good for removing the tarnish but to keep it tarnish free get some of the strips for silver that is stored. There are some here on Amazon made by 3M. I have not used this Weimans product but have used their other products and like them very much. I plan to buy some of this.
Question:	is 2500 grit enough for final polish of headlights
Answer:	Stones are much harder than silver. Should not hurt them at all. But might be hard getting it from under the stone, get an ultra sonic cleaner for that. Turquoise is different, it could be porous and absorb the polish.
Question:	What grits are included in this pack
Answer:	Hi Randy, the polish is the texture of milk (more watery), whereas the cream is like a heavy dairy cream. Both work the same, except I think there's less waste using the cream and it's easy to get off the silver when you're done polishing.
Question:	When should it be used dry and when wet? with oil or water
Answer:	You should use a sponge to rub the solution unto the silverware. Let the solution dry on the product a little, and then use old cotton dish clothes, or socks (a fabric that absorbs the solution, and that you don't care to become black) to wipe off the solution and polish the silverware.

The 3M™ Aqua-Pure® Water Filter Cartridge AP811-2 helps to reduce sediment particles as small as 25 microns in size, as well as rust, providing clearer water for drinking, bathing, laundry, and other household uses. 3M’s exclusive Micro-KleanTM XL progressive porosity technology forces water through pores that become increasingly tighter, filtering smaller and smaller microscopic particles. The unique process allows the cartridge to effectively reduce sediment while providing a high flow rate. The cartridge lasts up to six months before replacement.

The cartridge is manufactured by 3M Purification Inc. (3MPITM), formerly CUNO Incorporated. It has a flow rate of up to 45 gallons/170 liters per minute. Answer:	This high grit sandpaper is typically used to get that mirror shine on a car or motorcycle paint job. I do the same thing with computer cases. But it can be used on pretty much any metal surface that needs a mirror finish. To that end, this may be used wet or dry on metal surfaces. But wetsanding is used to acheive that showroom quality finish.To obtain that kind of shine, I start with 1000 grit and work my way up to 2500. I will soak the sandpaper for a couple of minutes in warm water with a couple of drops of dish soap. And I will also wet down the surface as well, the key to wetsanding without removing paint is keeping the work piece wet. I use a spray bottle to keep the panel I'm working on very wet. After wetsanding we follow up with a rubbing compound, a finishing compound, and a fine polish. This can be maintained with a wax cleaner and carnuba wax.

Question:	Non-abrasive formula" then how possibly can it POLISH? Magic
Answer:	No. The swab does not react to paint pigment, just the lead content of the paint. Often, when the amount of lead is low, it may take a few minutes to see a reading. Also, the kit contains a test sheet of lead to test the swab if you suspect lead but get no reading.
Question:	Can you use this on lacquered brass? I don't want to remove the lacquer
Answer:	Yes but you will need to find an area that is already chipped or has the different layers exposed to get a good reading. If no area is chipped/exposed you would have to expose it by either using a box cutter or some other means. You need the chemical to interact with the bottom layer of paint which has the more likely chance of lead paint. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can you use this on clear acrylic
Answer:	I just attended an information seminar about lead poisoning and the lady running it said you can use the swab to drip a small amount of the fluid onto the item your testing, then use a q-tip to rub it around. She said doing this, you can get around 7 tests per swab. I haven't tested this though.

Light, Smooth, Waterproof Backing

Answer:	"Abrasive" must be a technical term. Is 3000-grit sandpaper "abrasive"? I'd say, but I wouldn't use it to rough up a copper water line to sweat on a fitting lol

Answer:	Think of the lacquered brass as a car painted with clear paint. To polish the metal under the clear, you must remove the clear. You can wax and apply a coating to the clear paint, then polish the wax. You can polish the clear coating or make it shine. Flitz will polish the coating, but with polish it could remove, or make thin the coating, Especially on corners where coating is thinner. Use at your own risk.
