Question:	how tall is the cage only
Answer:	Yes!!! As a former breeder of rats, this cage would be perfect for them!! The space is great and there's no possible way for them to bite thru the steel bars.
Question:	So the large trays are solid? There are no wire floor above it? I'm asking because the cage we have now has a wire floor with a pull-out tray beneath
Answer:	Yes, but you wouldn't be able to have the floor in between them because you'd have to remove the top of the double nation and the bottom of the single nation to join them. That's how I have mine setup. You basically have one giant open cage on top with just the shelves, and a regular cage in the bottom which can be opened to the top one or not. If you do this, I recommend getting another shelf for the upper cage. It's probably simpler and cheaper to just get the add on version if all you want is a triple level cage. I had a single one I found on craigslist, so it was cheaper for me to do it my way.
Question:	can this be used for grown fancy rats
Answer:	It is big enough. But do not put 2 syrian hamsters together as they will most likely fight and kill the other hamster. 2 Dwarf hamsters would be fine in this cage.
Question:	can you take the single unit and add it on to the double unit
Answer:	Contact the company about your concern. I had the same problem and I had to send the entire item back and they sent me a whole complete new order .

Answer:	Model 181 is the bottom cage with shelf only.Model 182 is bottom cage/shelf and an add on unit.Model 183 is only an add on unit that you can add to models 181 or 182.Hope this helps :)
Question:	Are the base and larger middle floor wire flooring
Answer:	I own both cages. the bar spacing for Critter Nation is 1/2" and Ferret Nation is 1", but the other significant difference is that Critter Nation has horizontal bars that are ideal for climbing critters and Ferret Nation has vertical bars in addition to the larger bar spacing and works best for bigger animals whose lives don't revolved around climbing. The pans, shelves, and ramps are the exact same for both cages. My guess the difference in price is due to Critter Nation having many twice as many bars as Ferret Nation cages.

Answer:	Yes, guinea pigs will absolutely hurt their feet on the mesh floor of this cage. Before I got a better cage, I had to cut a paper bag and cover the mesh floor with it before I added the bedding. To make matters worse, the dimensions of this cage are misrepresented by the seller (go ahead and measure it yourself if you bought it). It is less room than the minimum standard for even ONE guinea pig.

Answer:	There’s a door on the second floor that you can open and close whenever you want but you can’t remove the ladder leading up to the second floor. You’ll be left with a ladder with a dead end. Unfortunately the door doesn’t have a lock so it your pet is strong enough they can push it open from the first floor unless you leave some type of weight on the door to keep it locked.

Question:	Where can i buy a replacement tray
Answer:	My ladder did not fall down. If it gets bumped I guess would fall down. You could probably get pliers and tighten the legs around the wire shelves. Or perhaps get twist ties (or similar item) to secure the ladders to the wire shelves so they do not move.
Question:	Would this work for a flying squirrel (or sugar glider) or would they fit through the bars

Answer:	Yes, large enough for 2 guinea pigs to move around in it.
Question:	How wide is the door opening
Answer:	Mine did not have a bottom. But, maybe it’s a little different than mine. If it says it comes with it, I would think it will.
Question:	Do you think this is a good size cage for two or three guinea pigs
Answer:	I added my own base using corrugated plastic as the pvc base is not sturdy and I find it hard to reach the back of the cage, though I am only 4'11" so my reach is not very far. I left the roof detached so I could remove it for easier cleaning. (I have mine indoors with two guinea pigs)
Question:	Is this large enough for a guinea pig. One on one level the other on the other level
Answer:	Absolutely not enough space for any full grown chickens. Grown chickens should have 10 sq feet per bird. And they are flock animals, so they need at least 3 birds to really be happy. This would be far too cramped for anything but chicks. But chicks need a heat lamp til about 6-8 weeks. This would not be an ideal brooder set up, either.
Question:	Is this cage good for a syrian hamster and can it fit an 11 to 12 in. running wheel inside
Answer:	No, you clean through the top door and by removing the tray for cleaning you can reach the area below. The mats can be removed for cleaning. Every so often I remove the mats and hose the hutch and let dry on the porch.
