Answer:	Sounds like a faulty impact socket. We’ve used these to loosen frozen bolts many times without any issues. Very hard to break an impact rated Socket. There was probably a defect on the socket.

Answer:	I honestly think the hog ring is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Detente is better. Not hard to use at all. It won't wear out. The hog ring will be good for about a year.
Question:	can you use the battery 20v max lithium ion 1.5ah with this tool
Answer:	Yes 20V is all that matters. You can use any 20V Dewalt battery with any 20V Dewalt tool. Still the amp rating directly determines how long the battery will last. So using 1.5AH battery will only drive half as many screws/bolts compared to a 3AH battery before the battery is dead but it will still work.
Question:	Amazon lists the torque at 300 ft lbs while the DeWalt site lists it at 400 ft lbs. Which is it
Answer:	I'm not going to bulls#!t anyone. I never used this product, BUT typically the max torque of Impact Wrenches is in reverse. So maybe it's 400 ft.-lbs. in reverse and 300 ft.-lbs. foward? I don't know.

Answer:	Milwaukee’s 5 year warranty is from the purchase date (from a valid retailer) or from the date code on the tool if you don’t have a proof of purchase from a valid/approved retailer. I’ve had warranty repairs under both circumstances.

Answer:	Chrome vanadium steel. Vanadium steel is the stuff that quality drill bits use to be made of. If it is tough enough to drill holes in steel and other materials. It is about as good as it gets.

Answer:	While sometimes ratchets may need a breakil period, I have had GREAT success with just cleaning and relubing ratchet mechanisms. From an old Craftsman 1/2 that's so old it's turned almost black with oxidization, to a 90s era 3/8 triwing and even a couple newer Mac Zero Degree ratchets. In every case the ratchets resumed regular function smoother and quieter even than when new. Before trying to warranty any ratchet as long as you are able I recommend first cleaning and relubing the mechanism, it won't solve every problem but it can solve a lot. From debris to solidified grease there are a lot of issues that a quick clean and relube will take care of.
