Answer:	We just give it dry in a small container. We also have 2 cotton balls in another container that we wet every day (good to change at least once a week) and try to give a baby carrot once or twice a week.

Answer:	It would depend on the distance from the bulb to the area that the gecko is. However let me say this; I was disappointing with this bulb as while it throws light, it is very dim. I have a tortoise and is suspect like the gecko it would prefer a spot type of light which is brighter, more directed towards an area which also supplies the A & B. I decided not to use this bulb but to keep it for a backup and only use spot-lite bulbs.
