Answer:	I am not an expert but I believe it is not a "near infrared" lamp, it's a regular infrared one, like the one I owned and used for years in Europe. By the way this model is an excellent product (sturdy, well designed). worth every penny (or dollar)!

Answer:	NO.its running by a normal red low/med frequency range bulb (1000-2700K). So NO FAR IR.

Answer:	It is plenty warm. I keep it around 12 inches from my neck aimed at my spine and it relieves so much pain. It takes maybe 5 minutes for the warmth to start going deep; 10 minutes for the "ahhh this feels great" and after 15 minutes that's when I'm really enjoying it andv getting a lot of therapeutic relief. If you keep it on for 30-60m you can start sweating but not always. This isn't designed to make you sweat... NIR is meant to help deep penetrating detox; the good stuff is happening internally, behind the scenes (meanwhile you feel better and better).

Answer:	Yes this is near infrared so long as you use the bulb that comes with it or purchase a higher quality like RubyLux (I use RubyLux for this lamp and my Near Infrared Sauna). Near or Far Infrared will be based on which bulb you use with the device.

Answer:	They do not have controllers at all. they are bare lights mounted to a bracket. they are not wired together either. you will have to wire them, and I suggest heavy duty wiring and a 30 amp plug, these will melt a regular plug.

Answer:	buy a power plug really easy to install, this is a great product.

Answer:	Regular outlet regular outlet 110 volt. There's one wire at each end of each bulb. The liar at one end goes to the White wire on your cord /plug, the other side goes to the black wire on your cord/plug. I've never powder coated but if your powder coating Steel I'm sure it would work.
Question:	Do these get hot enough for powder coating
Answer:	Maybe since I don't know the exact answer I shouldn't answer at all but I will say infrared lights dry automotive paint from the inside out or... first layer outward to last layer. The light waves travel through the paint to the steel heating up the steel first which in turn Shores the paint on top of it. Not positive but I'm pretty sure powder coating is the opposite? Powder coating objects are placed in an oven which would heat from the outside in. Again not sure of my answer but maybe gives you an angle to research the correct answer. Good luck

Answer:	A lot of ignorant comments.. it outputs in both infrared and visible light. Most of the output is in fact infrared. Infrared is any heat you feel radiating from the light at a distance. The heat you feel is infrared energy. Infrared = thermal light. The bulb also puts out some visible light in the red color spectrum so it’s not 100% infrared. (Infra-red means below red in the light spectrum.. which is not visible)

Answer:	I called the Philips Company and asked specifically about this model bulb.I was informed that the company puts a silicon coating on some of their bulbs and that this bulb specifically has has no coating on it.There is a bulb that does have a coating, and it's number 159327.UPDATE:The bulb that I received appears to have a coating on it. Answer:	I put the heat lamp on my coffee table and sit on a stool with my back towards the lamp. If you don't have a stool you could use a regular chair; just turn the chair sideways so that the back of the chair is not facing the heat of the lamp and blocking the heat from your back. I haven't tried this but you might also be able to lie down on your stomach in bed and put the heat lamp on the seat of a chair and aim it at your back.

Answer:	No this bulb does not emit the UVA or UVB rays that reptiles require for vitamin D and other health needs. For reptile heat only you need the Red bulb which emits as much heat but not the blinding light.

Answer:	An Infra red lamp will heat an object within the beam spread of the bulb. (within reason) If you have an 8 ft. ceiling in your garage and use a standard medium base ceramic light bulb holder from Lowes or Home Depot (couple bucks), you will feel warmth directly under the lamp. Make sure you buy a 250 watt white light lamp and not the red heat lamps. If this is over a small workbench, I think you'll like it but your toes will still be cold. (ha)

Answer:	There is no non-heating mode that I know about. I did switch from the clear bulbs to red ones since the light was too bright. If you want bright light versus dimmer red then that shouldn't be a problem.

Answer:	I use it for that purpose and the light is about a foot above my head when I step out of the shower and I can feel it pretty decently. It doesn’t heat the room but directly below it has a warmer feel. I have no regrets on choosing this one for that.

Answer:	The seller sent me a bulb that was NOT made by Pyramid. TWICE. The best bulb of this type on the market is made by RUBYLUX. It is expensive, but most all others are made with a red coating that is toxic, or a teflon anti shatter coating that is toxic. Question:	Is this safe to use on face for wrinkles and does it work
Answer:	I bought this to use for scar tissue after knee surgery. This one only gets warm, although I saw another buyer claimed hers got too hot. I don't know if it's safe to use on the face for wrinkles, or if it works in that case. My suggestion would be that you do a search on the web to get more information.

Answer:	The first few minutes while it's warming up, it can touch the skin. But after that (especially at the hottest setting), it's too hot to touch the skin, so I hold it just a little away. And move it around.

Answer:	Both. Manufacturer specs list wavelengths between 500-2500nm. Rest assured, this is nothing like a 660nm or 850nm near infrared bulb. This device produces very hot heat that can burn your skin if the device is too close for the 15 minute duration.
Question:	Can we see the red light when the unit is switched on? My new unit does not do this
Answer:	My unit didn't emit any light either. There was no visible light red, orange, or white. I think pressed every button there. My conclusion is you sold me a broken unit. I want my $80 back, how do I get my refund? Amazone said to contact the seller.

Question:	How many amps does this heater pull
Answer:	Actually it would pull less than 1 Amp. Even If you are plugging it into a standard 15 Amp circuit you should be more than fine. It doesn't draw a lot of power. Of you want to know the amps, you slimy divide the watts by the volts, in this case you would say 110v divided by 100w = . 9amps. Hope this helps!

Answer:	The answer is NO. A CE Certification is an EU standard that is a self-certification. It means that BYB certifies that their product meets EU standards. This does not meet UL standards, as UL certified means UL tested the item, not the manufacturer. So in the workplace, CE certified items are NOT OSHA approved. If it's a home use, it comes down to whether you trust the manufacturer to be telling the truth. You can tell from the manufacturer's language, though having pretty good English, it's not great. And trying to figure out the country BYB is headquartered in is nigh impossible.However, they do produce the CREE brand of lights, which in my experience are of mid to high quality. Their reviews are always good, and I find them to be trustworthy products, even if their customer service can't manage to answer questions in an honest straightforward manner.
Question:	Are they dimmable
Answer:	That is an excellent question. I did not see anything about it being dimmable on the packing. But I have broken one and after seeing how they are made with a filament made into the ceramic, I would think that it probably would be. I'd say for no more than they cost, it would certainly be worth a try. As a reminder, they are very fragile and will break easily if hit against a hard surface. As long as you don't break them, they work very well. I found that all the birds brooded under these bulbs did much better than ones brooded with a light bulb.
Question:	Would this heat a 56 1/2 by 21 inch hedgehog cage safely? I've heard people say it gets too hot
Answer:	My hedgehog cage is 28" long X 16" wide X 12" height and it works perfectly fine...keeps the hedgehog cage between 75-80 degrees. We cut the top put wire mesh over the top and zip tied the heat lamp to it.
