Answer:	14" w/o light & 16" with the light...base about 1-1/8" beyond that.

Answer:	Yes, that's where it goes. No worries, though. It's a standard water pump (& its cord) designed to be submerged. Your fish won't get electrocuted...unless you have an electric eel swimming around. ;)
Question:	What is the difference between this tank and the Marineland Contour
Answer:	I called Marineland and they told me the only difference between the Portrait 5 gallon and the Contour 5 gallon is in the curvature of the lighting system. The lights themselves are identical (9 white LEDs and 6 blue LEDs). They also advised me that they are no longer making the Contour 5 gallon because except for the minor difference in the lighting structure they are exactly the same tank with the same filtration components. FWIW, I bought the 5 gallon Portrait and am very happy with it.
Question:	Can I buy this for my Betta fish
Answer:	This tank is an excellent choice for bettas, thanks for asking! The pump is fully adjustable, down to 35 gph, and the size is perfect for a betta fish. You can place a heater in the front portion of course, and it is easy to maintain.

Answer:	I'd say so. You need opposable thumbs to remove the lid. I don't know how big your cat is but mine was not strong enough to push it over. This will allow air to be pumped into the tank, yet prevent water from flowing back to the air pump in the event of a power failure or whatever. Answer:	Just buy one of those 7 and 1/2 in simple multi color blue LED they sell here it looks like a clear cigar tube and there is a strip of lights in them and you even get a remote control with it for multiple colors so that a limited eliminates the need to put something up on the hood with ceiling that which that's a good idea by the way that guy had a good idea but what I'm talkin about I think they're twelve bucks I think it's made by simple and I bought several of them here it looks like a little clear cigar tube with suction cups and it's submersible and it comes with the RGB remote

Answer:	Hi. There is no lid on the top of the aquarium and the filter sits on the right hand side. It's a nice filter does a great job. We clean it once a week and replace the charcoal bag once a month. The yearly cost for the filters is about 11.99. It has a nice waterfall effect to it. My daughter who changes her mind so many times a day is still in love with her glo fish tank. I hope this helps.

Step 1:

To prepare for setup, rinse your gravel and decor with water, do not use soap or chemicals.

Find a flat place, preferably on a manufactured aquarium stand (for warranty purposes), away from direct sunlight and heating and air conditioning vents.

Add gravel, creating an upward slant to add depth.

Step 2:

Do not plug equipment in until water has been added.

Fill the tank with water, which has been dechlorinated with GloFish(R) Water Conditioner, to roughly 75%-90%.

Decorate tank to your personal taste.

Step 3:

Fill tank the rest of the way, again with water dechlorinated by GloFish(R) Water Conditioner.

You can now plug in all equipment safely.

To start your Whisper(R) Power Filter it needs to be primed which is done by pouring dechlorinated water into the top reservoir of the filter.

Step 4:

Question:	Is the lid cat-proof
Answer:	I don't have turtles so I'm not sure this will be 100% accurate. I love this filter - I have had it for over a year (and a larger Zoomed for over 2 years) I seldom clean my filter - I know sounds gross but my tanks stay clean even with Cichlids. You're able to see in the bottom to know if it needs cleaning and I go by that - probably once every other month - although I do water changes every 2 weeks. I have another filter that is so disgusting to clean (and start) I highly recommend going with Zoomed.
Question:	How loud/quiet is the filter? I work in an office with cubicles and don't want a tank that has a noisy filtration system
Answer:	I use this filter on a 30 gallon turtle tank and it does a good job and the noise level is very low ( a 1 on your scale). I keep the water level high enough that the outpore from the filter has no splash noise.
Question:	Where did you put the heater and what kind of heater should I get? Thanks
Answer:	Here's a little trick. I let tubing sit in HOT water while I'm cleaning rest of filter. By the time I get to the tubing, hot water makes it soft and flexible, so I go along inch by inch, folding and twisting the tube, and that loosens up the accumulated gunk. Then run hot water through to flush out gunk and repeat process. I resorted to this bc couldn't find brush long enough w/soft bristles that wouldn't scratch tube interior, which would cause rough surface to accumulate more gunk. It's time consuming, but I've been cleaning filter tubes this way for almost a year and they look like day one. But regarding your specific situation, a week for algae to grow in tubes seems quick, so you may not want to use this cleaning method so frequently (mine takes a month for algae growth), but rather find an algae-treatment instead, like a UV sterilizer.
Question:	Do you have to replace the filter block, or the bio rings
Answer:	The filter that can take up to that many gal per tank. A filter with a limit of 60 gal won't do much good with more then 60 gal. I use this filter on my 60 gal tank but I only put 40 gal in it. And I use 2 reverse power heads with underground filtration for my turtle and I only have to clean the filter 3 times a year. You can use 2 60 gal filters for your largest tank. Id go for the the filter that goes up to 75 gal for your 65 gal tank.

Answer:	It might. Will work better for a flat drain and flat surface around it.

Answer:	It does catch hair but a few do get through. We adhere it after the tub is full so it stays in place. It does make the water drain slower.

Answer:	It would depend on the height of you pop up drain, but we would not recommend this for use on pop up drains just in case there is not enough room to attach the suction cups that holds this in place to catch the hair.

Answer:	If you tank is relatively new you are probably going through initial biological cycle. Cut back on your feedings for a couple of days and pick up Tetra's new tank additives to help cycle your tank quicker.
