You need to continue pumping with the handle and vacuum pressure will continue to build and once you have enough pressure the water will start entering pump and you continue pumping and water or whatever you are pumping will start shooting out the nozzle.

Answer:	The regulator did not come with a tank but the regulator will fit any standard US CO2 tank, (CGA320). I went to a local welding shop and got the tank. This was my first time using CO2 and this unit has been working great for me. I knew nothing about hooking them up but it is pretty straight forward, even though the instructions are not that good. But 6 months later it is still working great and I would not hesitate to buy another one of these for another tank I am setting up. Hope this helped. Good luck.
