Answer:	Hi, I live in VA and when the pond freezes over I turn my pumps off. I have read where you can leave them on or turn them off during winter but I usually leave mine on up until the first freeze. I do insert a hose in the pond with the tip sticking out of the water to release gases that get trapped when the pond freezes over. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I love this filter/fountain. I do not know the exact gallons of my pond but it has to be close to 125 and I think it works great. I have it hooked to a fountain and the water flow is perfect. I have 2 fish, a few plants and resident frogs and the water is clean and clear. It’s a little difficult to take apart and clean but I would definitely recommend especially for the price.

You need a pump between 200 and 2000 gph to operate it. This filter is a pre-filter that helps prevent clogging of the pump in any pond or can be used to completely filter a small pond up to 500 gallons in size.

Answer:	This is just a pump with no extra connectors. That being said, the piece shown with the foam filter connects to the intake and a hose that you provide fits on the out take to provide water to your fountain or whatever you want your outflow to go to. Answer:	Very easy to change filters and they seem to last a while, still on my first set months later. Unfortunately, if you have any problems with this pond pump even if due to the manufacture and it's still under warranty, you pay the shipping both ways for any repairs and it can get expensive.

Answer:	Your question is not real clear to me. The pond master filter will do the filtering job for a pond of 250-300 gallons. If there is a lot of sunlight on the pond you Will still have an algae problem. A ultraviolet filter not chemicals is the solution for algae.
Question:	My pond is 20 inches deep. Will the fountain head rise above the water level? Is it tall enough for my pond
Answer:	I would recommend against buying this product. After the third one failed I just ate it and stopped asking Amazon for replacements. The impeller lasts for about 2 to 3 weeks and then fails. We had to put it on some rocks to get it up high enough above the water but our pond is about 28 inches deep so I can't say for sure that it will rise above 20 inches.

Question:	can you attach a larger filter to pump
Answer:	You can do this in a couple of different ways: 1) Insert the existing pump into a larger filter box. Amazon sells a large rectangular filter box that has the coarse and fine filter media with a hole in the middle where the pump fountain attachment comes up through. This filter box will suck in water from the slotted top, through the filter sponges and then into the existing pump/filter. Works great if you have a larger pond where you can afford to give up that extra space. My only drawback with this was that when you needed to clean out the filter, a lot of the gunk would get spilled back into the pond as you lift out the filter box and try to remove the pump (as it is plugged in somewhere and if you have hidden the wires, you can't easily take the pump away from the pond). 2) Use the side output from this fountain attachment to send some of the water into another filter. You can attach tubing or a hose adapter to it, then connect to any internal or external filter.
Question:	how high in inchs is the actual pump itself,? not sure my garden basin is deep enough to cover the pump
Answer:	About 12 to 20 inches depending on which attachments you use. I love this little pump. My little outdoor plastic pond is only about 4 feet across and only 16 inches deep.

Answer:	The inlet is in the middle of the pump, in the front. So, whether you stand it up like it is in the picture or lay it down on its side, you would have at least 1", maybe 2" of water left. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Product requirements are fully submerged in water. The 3 attachments have various water flows. I personally used water pump within a 10 gallon aquarium.

Answer:	In general freshwater aquarium filter pumps should turn-over 6-12 times per hour. So a 400GPH pump and filter could handle a 40gal tank with an average number of fish and average (good) care. Saltwater pump and filters shgould turn-over a tank 10-20 times per hour. A 55Gal SW tank would need (total) 550 to 1200 GPH pumps and filters.
