Answer:	Sadly there is no control on this cheapie....I tie knots on the line (1 to 2 or 3) here and there and just tighten them till it's bubbling the way I want it. Works just fine. It is quite strong for such a little pump, but a bit to much for my 2 gal Beta tank. So knots it is. Have a great day!

Question:	Is this filter effective for turtles
Answer:	In order to use this filter for a turtle aquarium, your water level must stay ABOVE the minimum water level line at all times, which means it needs to be within 3-4 inches of the top of the tank. This is a problem with most turtle tanks unless you have a Turtle Topper. Otherwise, it will work well for a turtle tank.
Question:	Could you add a sponge filter to the intake so it becomes Fry friendly
Answer:	Yes, you sure could! You could use sponge media or filter floss. Just be sure to clean or replace it whenever it becomes clogged.
Question:	Does it have a warranty
Answer:	Yes, it comes with a 3 year warranty on all manufacturer's defects. This does not include normal wear and tear or abuse, of course, but Tetra has a very liberal warranty policy. If you need warranty help, call 1-800-526-0650.
Question:	does this come with biobag and carbon filters or do u have to buy some
Answer:	Your initial purchase of the filter includes the Whisper Bio Bags ( 1 of them for the models 20, 30 and 45, 2 for the 70) and the Bio Scrubbers (again, 1 for the 20, 30, 45 models and 2 for the 70). You should replace your cartridges on a monthly basis, but can rinse them in between changes. The Bio Scrubbers should literally last forever, unless you lose them or damage them somehow. Wash these off in a bucket of tank water with a toothbrush.

Answer:	Contrary to some other answers, this pump doesn't come with anything else in the box except an instruction sheet. You'll need tubing and valves and air stones and anything else you want to use with it.

There are clips (stick-on, or clip-on) that will fit most caving and rock climbing helmets to secure the headlamp (clips) strap so it will not slip off the top of the helmet. Answer:	I have two of these units, both drain the batteries while plugged in so totally useless when power goes off. I heard back from company after six months (they are aware of problem) and they sent me ONE (not two) new unit. Supposedly, they fixed the problem. Also a piece of junk. It also drains the batteries while plugged in after a few days. I switched to Nicrew, works great. I hope that Amazon picks up this product and drops Penn Plex. Defective product and worthless warranty. I guess there is no such thing as 100% guarantee anymore.

Answer:	Sometimes if the tubing seems to hard to get on, you can take a knife and put a little slit in one side of the end. That will help it more easily slide over where you want it to go.

Answer:	Since is only for emergencies I have more than 1 year without replace the batteries (I use normal alkanine type D batteries) and probably have 12 hrs of use

Easy-To-Use and Reliable

The directions are very simple:

1. Briefly rinse the Filtration Unit with warm water in order to remove Carbon or Zeolite dust.
2. Snap the Media Cartridge into the Filter Mounting Bracket.
3. Cut Air Tubing to size, and insert Black Control Valve approximately halfway between Air Pump and Filter
4. Connect the constructed Filtration Unit, Air Pump, and Black Control Valve together via Air Tubing.
5. Place it in your aquarium, tank, fishbowl, or habitat, and mount it to a clean surface via the 2 Suction Cups,
6. Lastly, plug in the Air Pump, leaving a Drip Loop, and turn it on!

Question:	If I have a 72 gallon bow front tank, would these work good enough if I bought two to keep the tank clear
Answer:	I would suggest a stronger filter than aquatech, which works for smaller variety up to 60 g. You should go for aquaclear 70 or 110, they are great but are costly. I always aim for higher recommended capacity, for example for a 10 g, I would buy a filter for 20g. They are better for the long run. It's also based on your fish if they prefer low or high flow, aquaclear lets you control the flow and has three stages of filtration, which is why I like it, but aquatech is a good starter option I've had it for a couple years and I mean it does its job.
