Answer:	I have 4 inches from the back of my Aquarium and the wall. There is 1 inch between the back of the Filter and the wall.
Question:	how do to maintence on 350 marine penguin power filter
Answer:	Generally good answers...these blue pads clog quickly, I like to rinse all my filters, but these really "hold" the detritus. OF course I would normally rinse filter pads in a bucket of old aquarium water DURING the water change. But tapwater is usually fine too . So, get the reusable frames they sell for 2 or 3 dollars. At least the blue pads are cheap on amazon and WM for a 6 pack.

Question:	How does this filter work to keep the surface water clean? I have used canister filters before and always end up with that film on top of the water
Answer:	Yes you can choose to use them, but put them in the bottom basket because the flow is sucked up and you can cut you flow rate when the polishing clothe gets sucked in up against water return filter screen. (I thought I broke mine then I took it apart and found my mistake). I use a foam pad versus poly fill tho and then just rinse it every month. And there is plenty of room for bio media on top of the foam and in the other baskets.
Question:	How is it's long-term reliability? I have had several canister filters in the last 15 yrs and all have leaked
Answer:	Yes you need at least 24" but 36 would be better. The connectors are app. 5" and the hoses are pretty stiff so they don't bend well. I have the same space in my stand and I had to cut out the back to slide it farther back and then I have to disconnect the hoses before I can remove the unit. I will get another stand as soon as I can. You also want at least 20 inches between the top of the tank and the unit.
Question:	I am sitting up a 75 gallons tank in my office i don't want to clean it a lot what fluval pump would you suggest
Answer:	Spec says.....80-160 US Gallon which pretty much speaks for itself. get the Fluval FX6 which has a much higher output and made for bigger tanks......even with this filter you need more circulation for a tank of that size. Most specifications are on the high end. I personally wouldn't go bigger than a 100 gallon with the G6
Question:	How is the longevity of the FX6 compared to other filters people have owned? (primarily Eheim). I will be using it in a turtle tank if that matters
Answer:	The water flow is not adjustable as far as I can tell. I have not had the need to adjust as the pressure seems optimal and I have three of these units on three separate aquariums, each with different populations of fish.

Question:	I have a 60 gallon fresh. Should i use two smalls or two large filters
Answer:	I don't use this for my Betta tanks (I have 7 Betta only tanks) only my 50 gallon cichlids tank because bettas are such hardy fish they can survive in most conditions. For my Betta tanks I use tap water and the aquasafe (a dechlorinator) and they're happy as can be. But the test strips are very easy to read. just go online to look at the general parameters they should be in before you do the test. If you do purchase these read the instructions some of the strips you have to read right away and some you have to wait a few minutes.
Question:	What's the expected life of this product? Is there a replacement sponge available
Answer:	Yes. 4 of the 5 tests work for saltwater also. Only the GH (general hardness) does not work for saltwater.
Question:	How the filter add oxygen level without air circulation? I guess water out hose must be above water surface, correct
Answer:	I found them easy to read and liked that the chart is printed on the container that holds the strips so it's readily available. When I first got my kit, I read the instructions and using a felt tipped pen, circled the values that my tank should be at for each test, so when I performed a test I could check it immediately instead of referring back to the instructions each time.
Question:	Is the amount of biochemical ceramic balls used once
Answer:	Just remember that most of these test kits or strips for aquarium use report their results as "nitrate ion" or "nitrite ion", while the EPA standard for drinking water is expressed as "nitrate as nitrogen" or "nitrite as nitrogen". Thus, your aquarium test kit or strip will report a value considerably higher than what it "should" for comparison with a lab test or the EPA standards. This causes a lot of people to needlessly worry.

Question:	I have a 56 gallon tall tank and need a filter that works well in this type. Will this model work well in the tall tank type
Answer:	I think you will be happy with this filter. I am using one in my 200 gal fish tank I like it because 1. it is a good filter 2. It keeps the water oxygenated. ( lot's of bubbles ) :-) when I get my 75 gal tank ready I all ready have one for it.
Question:	After 1 year using the cascade 300 it is making noises now and sounds like it is sucking air or something. It is really annoying
Answer:	I have the Cascade 100 and think this may be my problem too. I take it apart, clean it, refill it, and it works for maybe a day or so then the water level goes down to a trickle. I tried playing around with the flow adjuster and it doesn't seem to do anything at all. It's so annoying! I can't seem to find a way to permanently fix it! I also have a Cascade 20 and have no issues with it at all.

Answer:	Thanks for your question. This filter is 110V and there's no way to adjust it to 240V for England. We wouldn't recommend running this filter with a power converter, so your best bet may be to stop by your favorite local aquarium store to purchase your filter.

Question:	I have had this filter running for a month now. The water has a yellow tint to it. All the levels are good. What is causing this how do I fix? Carbon
Answer:	Well I have been using the filter for about 3 months and I never had the yellow tint. The way I have it set up is (from the bottom up) :Tray 5- black sponge Tray 4- bio ballsTray 3- bio ballsTray 2- the ceramic rings it came withTray 1- white sponges and chemi-pure elite on top.It seems to keep my saltwater tank pretty clear.

Question:	Can the output be exposed for a DIY waterfall effect
Answer:	Absolutely. In fact mine came with a cover that fits over the front that allows a hose to be attached making the customizing much easier. I us the hose to run the output under the gravel to the other end of my 20 long to create a more natural 1 direction flow for my creek dwelling fish.
Question:	Would the 800 be ok for a 20 long pleco fry tank if placed on the end of the tank
Answer:	Absolutely... it is super quiet and does an amazing job!
Question:	Can this be used for a slider turtle tank
Answer:	No it needs to be submerged to work properly. I have a red eared slider almost 8in long in a zoo med turtle tub and when I turned it sideways to have it submerged, my turtle would knock it loose. It wasn't helpful for my set up.
Question:	What gallon tank is this for
Answer:	I use 2 on a well stocked 40 gallon freshwater tank, and 2 on a mid stocked 20 marine tank. They are super quiet.

Answer:	I have a 135 gallon tank and use it with my turtle. I'm honestly not sure why it says it can't be used for turtles as I have no issues with it. I -do- have the spray facing a little more towards the tank wall so it's not quite so strong and I did get the 525GPH (even with the smaller tank) because my 90 gallon tank we had prior with a Rena XP3 would get gunked up really quickly, even though it was supposedly good for up to a 175 gallon tank. I haven't had mine running more than two days with the new tank so far, though, so I'll have to see how well it does.
Question:	Are parts available? I would like to get a second in/out coupling
Answer:	Parts are available and relatively cheap, but be sure to get the right size - just go by the number of the unit '304B' or whatever. I ordered a full kit of black plastic and green tubes, cost about $23.xx, and was satified with it. Months later I bought just the black plastic parts but accidentally bought the wrong, smaller, size, and am now returning them. I don't know if you can buy the green tubing all by itself.
