Question:	My pump stopped working and when i pulled it out it started smoking. what do i do?it dosent turn on at all
Answer:	Return it to the manufacturer. I've purchase two of these pumps and they worked for a few weeks then they stopped. They were replaced but the replacements only lasted a few weeks. I have a smaller one that I purchased as a backup for when I purchase new kois, don't know if that is still coming on. I think that there is a serious problem with these pumps I would definitely never purchase these again

Answer:	Auto shutoff for what purpose? Two possibilities would be: A timer would switch it ff and on at prearranged times. For a malfunction due to no water going through, you will ideally want to power it through a ground fault interrupt circuit so in the event the water source accidentally runs dry the pump will not burn out.

Q2: How does the dry burn protection function work?

A2: There is an intelligent temperature control chip inside the submersible pump. If the pump runs without water, the temperature of the chip will increase, and then the power will be automatically cut off to protect the pump and power supply. After the power is turned off, the chip has cooled down, put the pump back into the water, and the pump will continue to work. This function can not only ensure the safety of electricity use, but also save your money to buy water pumps.

Q3: What size submersible aquarium pump do I need?

A3: As a general rule of thumb, you should aim for your pump to be capable of turning over the volume of water in your aquarium five times every hour. First, establish how many gallons your tank holds. Then multiply that by five to get the minimum flow rate in gallons per hour (GPH). So for a 160 gallon tank, you will need a pump that is capable of producing at least a minimum flow rate of 800 GPH.

There are other factors that may affect the flow rate, though. These might include elbows and turns in the plumbing, for instance, or fitted filters. Answer:	Thanks for your question. Yes this pump can be used in an inline setup, but it is not self priming and is water cooled. This means that the pump has to be below the water level with water being gravity fed to the pump. This ensures the pump is never pulling air and the line is constantly full of water. Answer:	This type of pump is not rated in psi, but in gpm (gallons per minute) The only pumps* that I know of that are rated in psi are in a pump system that is specifically designed to increase water pressure.

Answer:	My pond is 300 gallons. It took about 3 week to clear. It has stayed clear for months now. I clean the filters about every 2 weeks.

Answer:	I bought this. It is great. My pond is 2 feet deep and 600 gallons. I would think it needs to be deep enough for the pump to be completely submerged at least 1 to 1 1/2 feet deep.

Answer:	I believe you would get that through the manufacturer or if you’re lucky enough to have a fish/ pond store near you, they can probably order it

Answer:	No. There is not an option to turn off the uv light while running the fountain.
Question:	My pond is 3ft deep, can you extend the fountain to reach that high
Answer:	Yes. It would be easy to do. You would have to buy a piece of tubing to extend it, but the motors are certainly powerful enough!
Question:	I will be using this system in a 4x2x2 tub for my three small ducks to rince off and splash around. do you think this will work

Question:	What are the overall dimensions of the pump? I need to make sure it can fit in my sectional sump
Answer:	the pump is 4" wide + 5.5" deep including the front hose connection and 5.5" high including the top hose connection. Hoses don't bend easily. If that is an issue don't overlook it. Also, don't forget to allow for a filter attachment either if you need to filter the water going into the pump. I doubt that you do -if this is for a sump pump. How will it activate and turn off? That is usually built into a sump pump.
Question:	Would this be suitable for use with hot water? Maybe up to 160°F
Answer:	Blake,Most mag drive pump list a max temp of about 90-100 degrees. Could use a little higher but 160 would require an oil cooled pump to prevent damage
Question:	Does this come with the box and 5 year pond master warranty
Answer:	It comes with the box, I believe the warranty card is included. I cannot guarantee it will be accepted but if you send it in I can't imagine why it would not be accepted.
Question:	What are the size of the outlets
Answer:	pvc The discharge side of the Danner 500 GPH pump is 1/2" with external threads. A 1/2" female threaded schedule 40 bushing, elbow, or tee will fit the discharge side of this pump. For my 50 gallon goldfish pond, I installed a 1/2" tee and used 2 risers. The 500 GPH pump is of sufficient size to have 2 fountain risers as long as you have no more than 2-3 feet head.

Question:	Would this pump work well with a filter which would then pump the water to a 5 ft vertical waterfall in a 1650 gallon pond
Answer:	it should, I have it run 6 ft to a bio-filter, then 12 ft to a water fall that is 2 ft high. and it has a good flow . for about a mouth and a half then I do a back wash on the filter and it has a strong flow again. pond is approx 5600 gallons.

Answer:	3.2 amps or a 160 watt light bulb, my pond is 1500 gal. about 30 in deep plus 5 ft. above water line a water fall. water flows over 5 tiers , the neighbors can hear the water falling. great pump, will last for many years.
