Answer:	In order to use this filter for a turtle aquarium, your water level must stay ABOVE the minimum water level line at all times, which means it needs to be within 3-4 inches of the top of the tank. This is a problem with most turtle tanks unless you have a Turtle Topper. Otherwise, it will work well for a turtle tank.

Answer:	Yes, you sure could! You could use sponge media or filter floss. Just be sure to clean or replace it whenever it becomes clogged.

Question:	Can I use this for making compost tea
Answer:	Your initial purchase of the filter includes the Whisper Bio Bags ( 1 of them for the models 20, 30 and 45, 2 for the 70) and the Bio Scrubbers (again, 1 for the 20, 30, 45 models and 2 for the 70). You should replace your cartridges on a monthly basis, but can rinse them in between changes. The Bio Scrubbers should literally last forever, unless you lose them or damage them somehow. Wash these off in a bucket of tank water with a toothbrush.

Answer:	Contrary to some other answers, this pump doesn't come with anything else in the box except an instruction sheet. You'll need tubing and valves and air stones and anything else you want to use with it.

Answer:	Do not use this pump for making worm tea in a 5-gallon bucket. The Tetra 10-gallon pump is simply not strong enough. After this 10-gallon pump failed in a 5-gallon bucket, I tested it in a 1-gallon pitcher and it was just barely ok.

Answer:	My guess is clogged air stones. Have you tried any others? If not, you may want to give that a try. My pump seems to have plenty of power to run 4 airstones in a pond that is 2 feet deep.

Question:	how quiet in the house? i dont want to hear it at all
Answer:	The bubbles it makes are much louder than the pump. This pump is extremely quiet. Mine is in our bedroom and I really can't hear the pump, but do hear the bubbles. Neither is enough to really notice much less disrupt sleeping or watching TV. It is blowing through 4 air stones and moves more air than any of the pumps I've used from Petsmart/Petco, etc. It is also much, much quieter, even though it moves more air. I highly recommend this item.

Answer:	Air pump is also below the tank, I installed the check valve on a short length of hose (approx 2cm) as it exits the pump and then split the hose to 2 air stones from there. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I probably depends on what you have in your tank. If it needs a lot of oxygen, I'd get something stronger. If it doesn't need much, then you could possibly get by with this.

Question:	Does the packaging come with the plastic tubing for connection? I only received the air pump and the manifold

Answer:	I think this is just the pump- may have had some tubing i dont remember or care since i only use the silicone kind- It's not the cheapest pump out there for sure, but it is the best: virtually soundless, and awesomely powerful. i would by one again in a heartbeat- in fact I bought this as a backup. i will never by another kind. i would suggest getting an air control valve-, check flow, and silicone tubing its a more expensive option, but well worth the $$$. I got tired of clogged airstones- don't use them any more
Question:	What size is the output port? And does it come with tubing for that
Answer:	I had one on my outdoor pond in western Washington state, the pump itself was under cover but not completely enclosed. It ran 24/7/365 for over 5 years. Started getting louder a few weeks ago, and now has stopped working. I'd say yes, it is okay for outdoor use and I am on here buying another one of these pumps today.
Question:	What wattage pump should I get for a 5 gallon bucket
Answer:	The Whisper 150 is 3.5 watts, the Whisper 300 is 7.5 watts. Watts is the best way to compare capacity across brands and models, not exact, but best way available.

OPERATION Directions

• Connect the main outlet nozzle (barbed fitting) directly to the pump and then to the manifold using the supplied tubing.
• The main outlet nozzle may be connected directly to the target system (hydroponics, aquarium, etc.), or you can use the manifold to divide the airflow among many systems. In either case, you must purchase the tubing to connect to that system separately.

Answer:	From the unit to the six valve gang is 1/4"ID I think. Not positive, but it comes with the unit. 3/16" ID (1/4" OD) silicone or rubber standard aquarium tubing attaches to the valves.
Question:	what is the main difference between the 10 watt version and the 5 watt version
Answer:	You can buy a battery powered air pump for a 5 gallon bucket. They also make usb powered pumps that would also work for a 5 gallon bucket

1. The pump is NOT SUBMERSIBLE, please do not put it into aquarium. Keep it dry.
2. No check valve, the air pump should be placed above the water level of the fish tank（about 9.8in）.
3. With check valve(Hygger not included), the air pump can be placed below the water surface or placed on the table. The check valve (note the installation direction) can prevent the water from flowing backwards.
4. To get the maximum air flow and extend air pump service life, we suggest to clean airline tubing and airstone regularly.
5. 5W air pump: It is not recommended to connect less than 3 devices at most, and cannot exceed 5 feet water depth.
