Answer:	I live in Georgia but I leave mine out all year long. I have a large clay pot that we layed down that we placed the motor inside to keep it from the elements. The outside seems to be waterproof but we didn't want to take any chances. I purchased it in June 2016.

Answer:	I enclosed mine in a Tupperware container with drilled holes on the sides for air flow. It is not waterproof so I wouldn't leave the air pump exposed to rain or snow. So far it works well. Koi happy.
Question:	What is ID of tubing - can this unit handle 125 ft of a 1/4" tubing
Answer:	Thanks for your question. The included tubing is 3/8" ID. Sizing the tubing down will increase the amount of friction and pressure making it harder for the compressor to push the air. I would only recommend adding about 40' of 3/8" Id tubing at the most. Going that far you'll likely need to size up the tubing to 1/2" ID. Question:	Can this pump be adapted to solar power
Answer:	Thanks for your question. The biggest issue with adapting any type of pump to solar power is that solar panels have an output of a DC electrical current. Even if your equipment puts out the correct wattage most pumps still operate on AC current. So if you get a DC to AC inverter that solves the issue. However without power storage the pump will only run when in direct sunlight and in the case of an aeration system that is far from optimal. So yes it's possible, but there's a lot of small issues that make it very inconvenient and potentially expensive. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rating should be used. A cord may overheat if the cord is rated for less amperes or watts than the unit rating.

Answer:	I purchased the 32W pump and the output thread size is M8-1.0 (as opposed to M8-1.25 which is more standard). It is certainly not NPT threading. The adapter included is a M8-1.0 to 8mm or 5/16" hose barb and the manifold is 8mm hose barb input to six 5mm hose barbs.

Answer:	I have 2 pumps, the 793 & 950. The 793 was plunged in on March 25th, 2017 and runs 24/7 and is still running. The 950 was July of this year and still is running.

Answer:	Contrary to some other answers, this pump doesn't come with anything else in the box except an instruction sheet. You'll need tubing and valves and air stones and anything else you want to use with it.

Answer:	Do not use this pump for making worm tea in a 5-gallon bucket. The Tetra 10-gallon pump is simply not strong enough. After this 10-gallon pump failed in a 5-gallon bucket, I tested it in a 1-gallon pitcher and it was just barely ok.

Usually decreased bubble output is linked to either a clog or kink in the airline or the pump's diaphragm wearing out. Diaphragms usually start to deteriorate after 1 year of use but this can be a shorter length of time if there is excessive back pressure on the pump (such as clogged lines, or the diffuser being too far under the water, or even if the diffuser is prone to clogging of the pond bottom is exceptionally mucky). Question:	How loud is the pump
Answer:	It makes a low humming noise. But then again I keep mine in a wood out building with my pump and filter. Best one on the market in my opinion. I own 2 of them. One is over 3 years old and still running strong. The 2nd one is for back up, because I use it all year long and never turn them off.
