Answer:	Firstly,you need to set the temperature.If you set at 78,if the water in the tank is lower than the setting,the heater will be heated, the red light is on. After heating,the water in the tank up to the temperature of the setting,the heater won’t heat up, the red light is off. So don't worry about the light shock. Answer:	I don't see any issue of mounting this unit in a circular shaped tank. One major issue is to make sure that the unit is totally submerged preventing it from burning out. There is a line on it stating it must be below water. Do this... and it will last.

Answer:	I don't know that's it's timed. However initially it will stay at a preset of 78 but later it will start to keep temps of 75-77 depending on what size tank it's in. Also the black paint will chip off. Mine did within a couple months. Not good for Saltwater. :)

Answer:	I believe you’re talking about the separate thermometer that comes with it? If so, you need to unscrew the back, remove the battery, and then you’ll see a small pc of plastic preventing the battery from making contact. Remover the plastic and then replace the battery and backing securely before placing into the water.

Question:	Is there a way this heater can be calibrated? Mine is off by a good 3 degrees? If not i will be returning it
Answer:	it does not look like there is a way to callibrate. The manual states that it is accurate by 1 degree F. If the water temp goes above 3 degrees of what it is programed, it'll stop heating
Question:	What does E1 error code mean with this unit? It's not listed in the manual
Answer:	I am not 100%sure. I found one site that said it is due to not being completely submerged. Check that and see if that might be the issue. If that is not it, I do not know what the code would be.

Answer:	Unplug it. Plug back in and make sure it's fully covered by water. Reset by holding in the temp button

Question:	how long is this heater
Answer:	The process of “cycling” does not begin until fish or a culture of nitrifying bacteria are added to an aquarium, but the longer you wait to add the first fish after initially setting up your tank, the better. Most aquarium experts recommend waiting at least 48 to 72 hours. Always check temperature and test for pH and ammonia first, as many municipalities add chloramine to tap water and a single dose of water conditioner does not always fully neutralize the ammonia.
Question:	What’s the lifespan of this heater
Answer:	Fish are timid. Unfamiliar object will cause stress.
Question:	is this a timed heater ? I have been having having trouble with the light turning off
Answer:	It will "work", but it may not bring the temp up more than 5 degrees or so. I have mine in a 1 gallon bowl with a bubbler to move the water around a little and it went from about 68F room temp to a steady and even 78F, perfect for a betta.
Question:	Does this heater come with suction cups? This heater came with a 29 gallon setup I won but it did not have suctions cups
Answer:	I purchased it. Have a 1.5 gallon. It warms just a little bit but you need to keep the tank closed. It really doesn’t warm up a lot like you think it will.
