Answer:	I don't believe the heater gets hot enough to scald the fish. The heater only lets the water get 2-3 degrees cooler than the setpoint (if I set the temperature to 75 F, the heater will turn on at 72 or 73 F), so it doesn't need to work hard to get the water up to temperature. Also, water is an excellent conductor of heat, so if the outside temperature of the heater is hot enough to scald the fish, then all the water is probably hot enough to scald the fish.

• Plug in, the controller LED lights on, press the button and switch it continuously until the LED display shows your expecting temperature (From 68~93℉ ), and wait 3 seconds for system confirmation, then heater will start heating up to your preset temperature.
• Red lights means the heater is on heating mode, when heater heating up to the preset temperature, blue lights on, and heater will stop heating (Restart heating when temperature less than preset temperature)
• Operation for example: Plug in and LED display shows preset temperature 68℉, you want adjust it to 78℉, then press the button 10 times continuously, LED display will shows 78℉, and wait 3 seconds flashing, then setting fishined, heater will start heating from 68℉ to 78℉.

Answer:	It took mine under 15 minutes to heat my 2.6 gallon tank from 74 to 78 degrees. If I may, I would suggest that you check out a 50 watt heater, the 25 w is meant for 2 to 4 gallon tanks.
Question:	How big is this controller
Answer:	Great Question.I have mine set at the default of 78 degrees, and if I unplug it and plug it back in it goes to the default setting of 78 degrees. I have not tried it at other temps to see how it responds. Worse comes to worse, 78 degrees is a pretty optimal temp for just about all normal tropical and marine fish.

Answer:	It works really good on our 50 gallon tank, room temperature range from 60 to 75 degree.
Question:	Can the 100 watt be used in a 20 gallon tank
Answer:	I'm using it in a 3 gallon Tetra Cube. As long as it's submerged horizontal or vertically, and not touching substrate, it'll work. The heater is 6.5" tall x 2" wide. I like it because, it heats to a set temperature; if the tank is too warm, it shuts off. I've been using it for a month, checking with a thermometer, and it's been spot on 80, as set for my Betta.

Question:	Would this heater be ok for a 10 gallon tank
Answer:	The part that reads temperature is pressed up against the tank glass. Which means in actuality it is reading the tank temperature. It’s not unusual to have different thermometers be a degree or two off. I am not an expert but I would rate this thermometer is the most accurate that I’ve ever owned
Question:	whats the lowest temp it can go
Answer:	Flashing is warning you that the current temperature is higher than the highest temp you set or lower than the lowest te, you set. if you want it to stop flashing, just set the left small number greater than the current temp and the right small number less than the current temp. Here is the step: first short press the "fish" the left small number will flash, then press "up" to make it greater than the current temp, then short press "fish", the right small number will flash, then press "down" to make it less than the current temp. Done.
Question:	Which heater is best for a 40 gallon tank
Answer:	Dear friend, Both. It is aquarium thermometer , when you use it to monitor fish tank temperature, pls stick it on the outside of the tank, make the sensor beneathe the water level. Item rattles is normal. The ceramic tube inside is positioned in the middle which is not sticked with the outter tube for better protection. So when you take it out from the box it might feels like it's rattling. Don't worry please. It's normal. It will do a great in the tank.

Adjust the temperature of the heater a couple of degrees HIGHER or LOWER than needed if the temperature of the water doesn’t meet the requirements. And keep the knob where it is if the temperature of the water stays stably at the needed temperature.

Answer:	I have the 50W version ("up to 20 gal tank") in just a 6 gal tank, with a tank filter running 24/7. It keeps me spot on 78f. Once when I had the filter off to test something else, the tank was down to 74f. half a day later. So the circulation of a filter seems to be essential to good heater function, and perhaps also your version is undersized for your tank? If your tank is that large maybe just get a second one and place it in an opposing quadrant.
Question:	Will this fit in my fluval spec iii aquarium
Answer:	You'd have to have it at an angle, but honestly it's too much for a 10 unless the room is significantly colder than you want to keep the tank. I'd stick with a 50W for a 10 gallon or find a more compact 100W.
