Answer:	They don't have a jerky texture at all. They do break easily in my opinion. About the same as breaking a piece of chalk. I break them myself usually since we recently began cutting back on our dogs calorie intake.

Answer:	I don’t know. It doesn’t give that information on the package. With only one ingredient and approximately 10 calories per treat, I think it’s a great treat to give. If you’re concerned with fat content, check with your vet.

Answer:	I'm going to guess that there might be 100-150 maybe? They are bigger than I want them to be as I use them primarily for training my dog so I end up easily breaking them into 3-4 smaller pieces. My mini Bernedoodle loves them! I have found smaller size liver treats from other suppliers but these are fine.

Answer:	They vary in size and are very easy to break into smaller peices if needed. I would say most of the peices were 1 1/2” X 1/2”
Question:	Anyone have a guess as to how many treats there are in this bag
Answer:	It differs. They liver is cut up in different sizes, so you can't say there are a hundred treats in the bag. Yes, if you have a Chihuahua, there are 200 treats in that bag. But for a great Dane, maybe 50. The treats are very nice, don't stink in your pocket but there is a good percentage of very small pieces that work better put over dry food.

Answer:	I came to the Q&A section because like you...Wait a minuet I got these for 99 cents and they are $20 here. Yes they are at the 99 Cents Store but it is the .88 oz bag. The 20 oz bag is the same cost. I know because my puppy LOVES these went to 3 stores and all 99 cents stores have been out for a week. My little doggie is on a hungry strike until I find some so Amazon to the Puppy Parent Rescue. Need to see if I can buy in bulk for .50 cents like the 99 cents store. Shes laying in her bed now sniffing an empty bag LOL.

Answer:	I'm sorry but I don't see the word "OLD" anywhere in the description or on the container. In fact the Amazon label says "NEW". Anyway, they are freeze dried so they have lasted a long time for us and the dogs love them. Hope this helps.

Answer:	These are not easy to break apart, however, the bottom of the bag will contain many small pieces as in many bagged food items. One bit of info you may like to have is this particular liver contains sharp edges or points. Our pup has no problem. We do love this brand and I reorder several flavors every month. Hope this helps.

Why Freeze Dried

We believe one of the keys to healthy eating is to buy the very best ingredients you can find and to do as little to them as possible. We chose freeze drying because its the best way to achieve this goal and provide pets with minimally processed food and treats without preservatives or additives. Instead of cooking, freeze drying uses sub-zero temperatures in a vacuum chamber to gently pull moisture out without the loss of nutrients cooking creates. Freeze drying locks in freshness and intensifies natural flavor. It also keeps food from shrinking or becoming tough as with other drying processes.

Slower is Better

It takes 18-20 hours to freeze dry foods, as compared to high heat quick cooking methods that can take just minutes. Its this long, slow, gentle process that allows us to make the healthiest treats possible.

How the process works

- Food & treats are first flash frozen

- They are placed on trays and put inside a vacuum chamber

- Low heat is applied to trays only which causes the ice crystals inside the food to turn into water vapor outside it

- Cold plates attract & collect this water vapor like metal to a magnet

- Once foods reach a low enough moisture content (generally between 1-4%), they are freeze dried & shelf stable
