Answer:	My friend has the 55SH series 2 and I have 55 deluxe. After trying his I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to buy one of my own. I went with the 55 deluxe because since it has a beta 58 capsule as opposed to an old SM48 capsule it gives you higher gain before feedback. the frequency response is also more desirable having 60 Hertz to 17,000 vs. 50 Hertz to 15,000. So it's brighter and attenuates more of the low end that you really don't want to have on a vocal anyway. However both of the microphones do have different sounds and if you're after more of a lo-fi I sound the 55SH would be a better option but if you want a really awesome sounding one that is more up do date with todays technology get the 55 deluxe.

Answer:	It does not need a battery, but you do need to connect it to an amplifier that has a mic XLR connection. Mostly this would be a separate pre-amp which is then connected to a larger console or amplifier system, though some systems combines both.

Answer:	If the official Shure part number SM58-CN is selected, the "CN" means a 25' XLR microphone cable will be included. Other variants include SM58S which is microphone with an on/off switch, SM58-LC which is microphone only with no cable.

Answer:	There are too many questions to be answered here. Are your speakers powered or non-active? How many mics are you running? Any other systems involved, like instruments, computers, ipods etc? Are you looking for built in EFX? Although my first amp was a Pyle 3000W for $100 and I used a cheap Behringer 4 bus mixer, I have moved on from that purchase. Best advise I can give someone, is to buy a book or video on live sound and mixing, it will save you time, heartaches and maybe even money.

It's a "dynamic" rather than a "condenser mic," which means it's durable, tough, long-lasting, made to take abuse. But it's not the preferred microphone in the recording studio, which is where the more sensitive, nuanced condenser microphone shines (but don't toss it in a bag and "take it on the road"). Condenser mics require more power than dynamic mics, and that power is called "phantom power," which is found in most mixing boards and in many amps--and in this handy adapter. But you do NOT require Phantom Power for an XLR connection: you require it for a CONDENSER MIC. And since the popular SM58 is a DYNAMIC MIC, the Phantom Power is wasted, a needless add-on. If you want to convert your XLR to USB (or to a phone plug), there are many adapters and cables for $10 that will do the trick You certainly don't need to invest a hundred in the pictured adapter--that's sheer "overkill. It's a bit of a mystery why sellers are showing the SM58 with a Phantom-Powered Adapter for condenser mics. You may be wasting $100 on one or the other of these incompatible devices.

How can I do when the microphone cannot be used? Few ways for troubleshooting:

Answer:	No, these microphones operate on the UHF wireless spectrum. For example, Shure H10 Band is 542-572 MHz, which is below the 2.4GHz band. Question:	Does this product have a mute button
Answer:	Do you mean a single channel wireless system? The BLX14/CVL? In either case, yes, you will be able to run both systems simultaneously. Each frequency band of the BLX can run numerous transmitters at the same time without interfering with each other. If you also happen to have the BLX14/CVL, you can also purchase the BLX288/PG58 in the same frequency band so that you can have back up transmitters/receivers in case any of them fail.
Question:	Can I press the on board control to mute the mic
Answer:	Shure wireless receivers provide both XLR and 1/4" output for each channel. For the case of the dual channel receiver, you will need 2 cables.

Question:	So I live in Manhattan, and there's a lot of excess noise. How well does this booth cancel out those noises alongside reverb
Answer:	Check out kaotica eyeball mic isolation piece. They are currently on sale for 148, And will do exactly what you need. Some of online demos are even shot in NYC I believe!
Question:	Why not just buy egg crates and staple them to paper? Looks the same
Answer:	I guess you could staple egg crates to a wall, but it doesn’t quite look the same. The vocal booth box works great and if your doing a podcast it looks professional.
Question:	This didn’t come with great instructions. I’m currently drying the wet foam but the cloth box itself collapses. Will the foam be enough to hold it up
Answer:	Yes, the foam fills out the box pretty well. It quite a while before my foam was completely dry, several days.
Question:	Does this only absorb higher end frequencies, leaving you with a really heavy bass sounding recording
Answer:	Can’t say for sure, I don’t have a very bass heavy voice so i haven’t had a problem with that.

Question:	What’s the size of the vocal shield? The height? The length? And how thick
Answer:	The foam is about 2 inches thick, 10 inches high, and about 20 inches wide. It curves around the microphone. The frame has 3 adjustable legs of a few inches.
Question:	What kind of mic stand works best with this
Answer:	A good wide tripod base would be best. That way you can offset the balance with one of the legs of the tripod. The balance isn't bad but the extra support makes it more stable, especially on carpet.
Question:	Can it hold a Yeti Mic
Answer:	No. It doesn’t hold the mic well at all. The mic stand that comes with it is very basic and thin. The Yeti will screw on, but the weight and height make it bulky and stand a smidge higher than the actual shield. I’ve resulted to just using the Yeti stand and angling the mic down a little for podcasting. It works fine for me.
Question:	Does it come with a microphone
Answer:	No. It is just a vocal booth. It has an arm at the bottom where you attach your own microphone. But you need to supply your own mic! I'm very happy with mine
