Answer:	Well, I guess I disagree with the other answer, because I got the 30 foot training lead and it was fine for my 28 pound dog, a smaller-medium size Australian cattle dog mix, and it was not too heavy for her when I adopted her at 9 1/2 months old. I used it as a training lead because she was wild and crazy when I first brought her home and now that she is doing much better behavior wise, I still use it as a safety-measure when I'm working in the yard to make sure she's safe in case of a distraction (people, dogs, squirrels, ect.) while I may have my back turned. My dog can wander around but cannot reach the busy street while I' mowing, trimming, ect. , but these are not meant to be an unsupervised tie-out because pets can get tangled up, but as an extra safety measure while I'm still able to keep an eye on her, it still comes in handy and can still be used for hands-free training refresher courses as she may need as she progresses. I've had her and the Mighty Paw training lead for 1 1/2 yrs. and they are both in good shape and doing well. These leads are of good quality and my "shelter-dog" is an amazing, smart, friendly, lovable companion, who ended up in a shelter by no fault of her own and just needed someone to spend a little time with her. Our 95lbish Shepherd mix snapped his when he hit the end. After inspecting it, I realized it the lead was damaged from walking in a corn field where it had gotten caught up on cut cornstalks. This must have weakened it enough that he was able to snap it the next day. Disappointing! So good lead but inspect it before each use and be aware it’s probably not a good choice for rough terrain
