3 best dog zapper

A "dog zapper" is not a common or widely recognized term in the context of dog training collars or training behavior aids. However, it's possible that you are referring to an electronic training collar, often known as an electronic or e-collar, remote training collar, or shock collar. These devices are used in dog training to remotely deliver varying levels of stimulation (often a static shock) to the dog when they misbehave or fail to follow commands. Here's what you should know about electronic training collars:

  1. Types of Stimulation: Electronic training collars can provide various types of stimulation, including static shocks, vibrations, or audible tones. The static shock mode is the one that is commonly associated with the term "shock collar."

  2. Training Purposes: These collars are often used for specific training purposes, such as teaching commands, correcting undesirable behaviors like excessive barking or leash pulling, and reinforcing boundaries.

  3. Remote Control: The collar is controlled by a remote transmitter that the owner or trainer holds. This allows for immediate feedback when the dog exhibits unwanted behavior or fails to obey a command.

  4. Levels of Intensity: Most electronic training collars offer adjustable levels of stimulation, allowing trainers to choose the appropriate intensity for their dog's temperament and the specific training needs. It's important to start with the lowest setting and increase it gradually, if necessary.

  5. Controversy: The use of electronic training collars, especially those that deliver static shocks, is a topic of controversy in the dog training community and among animal welfare advocates. Some argue that when used improperly, these collars can cause fear, anxiety, and physical harm to dogs.

  6. Training Guidelines: If you choose to use an electronic training collar, it's essential to follow best practices and guidelines for their responsible use. This includes proper training techniques, avoiding prolonged or excessive stimulation, and seeking professional guidance if needed.

  7. Alternatives: Many dog trainers and behaviorists advocate for positive reinforcement training methods, which focus on rewarding desired behaviors rather than punishing unwanted ones. Positive reinforcement is considered more humane and effective in the long term.

  8. Legislation: In some regions, there are laws and regulations governing the use of electronic training collars. It's essential to be aware of and comply with any local laws regarding their use.

  9. Consult a Professional: Before considering the use of an electronic training collar, it's advisable to consult with a professional dog trainer or behaviorist. They can help you determine whether this type of training tool is suitable for your dog's specific needs and how to use it safely and effectively.

In summary, electronic training collars can be a tool used in dog training, but they should be used with caution, responsibility, and proper training techniques. It's crucial to prioritize your dog's well-being and consider alternative, positive reinforcement methods before resorting to electronic collars.

User questions & answers

Question: Neighbors dogs bark at us all the time when we're in our backyard. Will this affect my dog if he's not in the direction in which I'm pointing it
Answer: This unit has a range and may not reach your neighbor. Can't remember range. Unfortunately my other dog was affected even though she was on other side of room. Also this unit no longer works. Don't waste your money.
Question: is this product just for barking dogs or for aggressive dogs that want to charge at you while walking outside
Answer: I do not think this would work on aggressive dogs. It works on my two Poms for barking control because their ears are up. It does not faze my two Poodles, their ears are long and floppy.
Question: Does the Dazer II penetrate through a 'lapped and capped' wooden fence
Answer: There is a block wall between me and the offending dogs; I just held it over the fence and pushed it once. They used to bark at me every time I tossed the trash. They haven't barked since. Wow, first time in four years I feel like I'm not an intruder in my own backyard
Question: I want to stop my own dog from barking in the house. Will this device work for that purpose
Answer: Yes. I have the original Dazer and bought that in 1990 and have used it all these years for dog training. I have NEVER had a dog that got "used to it", as I have read several times in comments. I raise Yorkshire Terriers and have had yorkies that range from 12.5 lbs. all the way down to 4.2 lbs., and the Dazer has worked with them all. As another person stated, when you push the Dazer on for a few seconds, you say "NO" at the same time to reinforce your command. So if they are barking, you say "No Bark" while pushing the Dazer. If they are jumping on you, say "Down" while you are pushing the Dazer. And you only push the Dazer for 1-2 seconds...do not hold down the button. Work on one command at a time until the dog understands the new command. When they understand the command, a verbal command is all they will need. Maybe if the people that said their dogs got used to it, were pushing the Dazer for anything the dog was doing and not giving a command with it. That would be confusing training to any dog.

Question: Is its click intensity strong? Will training colloar cause my dog to be injured
Answer: My collar at static level 01 was also way too strong. I used it on myself to test it (and I recommend all users do the same before using it on their dog). If I used it on my dogs neck, it would have caused injury. I will most likely return the product.

Question: How is the quality of the dog training collar with remote? How much time can be used? Does it work well for dogs
Answer: You can contact service @ nvkvip. com . I strongly recommend you use its. The remote control is of good quality. I like that it can display the battery life of the two units on the remote control. So far, a single charge of the remote control and the collar has lasted more than two weeks. My dog responds well to the beeping sound, even only tied to the collar, so I can't see the electric shock function is needed.
