Answer:	The 2 digit number is the length in inches of the launcher and the 1 digit number is the diameter of the ball in inches (obviously 2.5 is ball size technically a 2 digit number). if you want to throw the ball very high or very far without it hurting your wrist and get the 26 m I truly believe this is the best one it's comfortable it's easy to use and it really launches the ball. I have a German shepherd and I purchase the 26 m which fits the standard tennis balls . In my opinion standard size tennis balls would be good for just about any size dog except for little tiny dogs or maybe a great Dane of course LOL. Answer:	In case you missed the previous 8 answers, the 26M one works great with tennis balls. I no longer bring my own balls to the dog park, as someone else's dog destroys them; there are usually lots of tennis balls laying around. I also go by the local tennis courts to look for balls that have been left outside the courts. If it's a new ball the owner would have retrieved it, otherwise they leave them, and the dog doesn't care if the ball has a perfect bounce.
