Answer:	Hi there John, the large white unit is the transmitter. The wires in the ground connects to this and it controls the signal. The smaller unit is a lightening protector that reduces the risk of power surges.

Answer:	Hi there, for 2 acres of property you will need a minimum of 1,200 feet of wire. It will probably be best to have a total of 3 spools of wire (500 ft. each) so that you don't run out as the layout may call for extra.

Answer:	This system includes 500 feet of 20 gauge wire. However, I did a good deal of research before purchasing this system and I found that this is was not going to be enough for my yard and more importantly, this 20 gauge is a very light weight wire and many people had to replace it after just two years. As a result, I did use this system, but I did not use the cheap wire that came with it. I, instead, went to FlexPetz.com and used their "Heavy Duty 16-Gauge Dog Fence Wire (1000 ft)". The SKU number was HD-16AWG-1000. It cost me $117.95 and the shipping was free. They also have a good selection of various lengths if you do not need 1000 feet. I finished installing my fence myself two weeks ago and it is working great. I have no complaints and I feel confident knowing that I will not need to replace the wire anytime soon.

Answer:	This transmitter will accommodate up to 25 acres worth of wire (5000'). The previous generation would only cover up to 10 acres.

Answer:	We put the fence around our entire 10 acre property. There was an existing barb wire fence most of the way around and we attached the dog fence wire to the existing fence posts most of the way. To get across our driveway we put the wire inside a plastic water line and buried it. In some parts out back, where there are no fence posts, we put the wire inside old garden hoses and just laid it on the ground.

Answer:	Yes, it's easy. If you place two units the perimeter will be the shape of a figure 8. Moving them closer together changes the shape to a 0. The area inside is free range. Three can make the shape of a three petaled flower or a long potato. Four makes more of a square. An issue to consider is interference caused by buildings and such. You just need electricity and protection from weather.
Question:	how to set up the fence
Answer:	Hmmm, this is a whacky system of Q&A, as I see nothing relating to the product in question onscreen. I can only assume that it's for the petsafe wireless fencing system, because I reviewed it a long time ago. In which case, I'd recommend searching youtube "how to set up petsafe wireless fencing system" or something along those lines. That is what I did, and found not only that but also visuals on how to train the animal to it....and, just to add to my last review a year ago, thank you, Petsafe, for continually providing some of the best customer service that I have ever experienced.

Answer:	Yes it can be reduced to a very small area. The PetSafe company has a video online that explains it very well and how to test the exact distance you have set by changing the dial on the transmitter. Some friends of mine take it camping ( when an electric outlet is available) to contain their dog within their campsite. Main thing to remember that the broadcast area is round. Also follow instructions on training your pet to understand the system which is also on the afforementioned PetSafe video.Hope that helps.

Answer:	It is stable without being anchored.... but I needed the fencing to not move. Yes, i put metal tent stakes centered on each section. I used the tent stakes (nails) that are about 10 inches long. The stake didnt have wide enough 'hook' on to so used a heavy zip tie to connect them. I had to use the long tent stakes because my (mini) piggy could actually move the fencing.. determined to eat that one special weed on other side of fence. He is only 3 months old but extremely strong when determined. I like the idea of stakes because this fall, i will have to move his pen to a different area. Currently he enjoys the shade from the 3 old oak trees but soon the fall acorns will fall. It's not the end of the world if he eats a couple but tere will be thousands dropped and that easily could be the end of his world - same for dogs.

Answer:	There are three modes in this model: shock, vibration and tone. All can be used separately. So, you can use just the vibration and tone for training.
Question:	Can I use the remote shock before wire is completely laid as long as control panel is plugged in

Question:	Can you use a heavier gauge wire when adding more area to the system
Answer:	The collar adjusts and is very large. I have two on 80 lb dogs. I’m not sure about 135 lb. If I had to guess, I believe it would fit. The collars are pretty long. Also, I’m very pleased with my collars!

Answer:	Hi KonaSurferGirl (cool handle) - Typically our customers will charge the collars once a week and yes, there is a blue LED indicating that it is fully charged. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can wire be strung atop a fence? Or does it have to be on or underground
Answer:	Hi Troy - The wire doesn't have to be buried and can be affixed to any standing fence. The wire can also be laid above ground but we recommend it being affixed with boundary staples (found at any hardware store).
