Answer:	The number one reason for jamming is not having the flywheels up to speed and keeping them up to speed. Make sure you hold down the flywheel trigger for about 2 seconds before you fire your first shot. After that allow a little time between shots because when it launches the dart, a little momentum is lost and it takes a fraction of a second to regain full power. Also be sure darts are loaded evenly and uniformly. Also be sure your batteries are fully charged. I keep extras ready to go. Rechargeables are great, but they peak at 1.4volts and most run about 1.2 volts. Alkaline batteries start at about 1.5 to 1.6 and drop slowly to about 1.2 at which time they are about done. You can also look for NiZn batteries which are overvoltage and run at 1.6 to start, are rechargeable and drop to about 1.4 for most of the time. They also have the advantage of more rapid recovery between shots. Good luck!

Answer:	It is a woven plastic, very light weight but very durable, I have it on my outdoor patio and it has been through rain, wind and lots of use and it is amazing. When it get wet, it drys in nothing flat. It is also great on bare feet, soft and comfortable. I wish I had found out about it years ago. I will buy this mat again. I love it. Hope this helps.

Phoenix LTX Tagger

The Phoenix LTX Tagger is a Nerf Lazer Tag laser tagger that was released in 2008. It requires six "AA" batteries to operate.

It is currently only availablle in a two-player set from Amazon.com.

Original Tiger Electronics packages came with a Shot Blast accessory, a removable green laser sight, and a special video game attachment for use with the "Solo" game mode, while later sets only included the tagger itself.

Details

The Phoenix LTX features a red receiver dome on top where tags are registered. This dome flashes red when it is tagged. Unlike previous taggers sold by Tiger Electronics, the Phoenix LTX does not have lock-on or detection indicators. This is due to the Phoenix LTX not having a receiving barrel. Players cannot tell a player's allegiance by simply pointing their tagger. Likewise, Tiger Electronics taggers cannot lock on or get information from the Phoenix LTX. Above the handle the tagger features a light and built-in rumble pack, it flashes and shakes when the tagger is fired or tagged.

Hosting matches

A vast difference between the Phoenix LTX and other Tiger Electronics taggers is that the Phoenix LTX does not have a menu screen. This means that this tagger cannot host complex matches. However, simple games can be played. The tagger can choose between "Solo", "Team 1" and "Team 2. A hidden "Team 3" is only selectable when the power switch is held carefully in place between the "Team 1" and "Team 2" positions.

"Solo" creates a quick "LTAG" free-for-all match. Choosing "Team 1", "Team 2", or "Team 3" joins a team-based game, where players are placed onto the respective team as indicated. Teams cannot be changed once the match begins.

Matches are started by pulling the trigger, which activates a ten second countdown before the game begins.

Joining matches

Though not explicitly stated, the Phoenix LTX is able to join custom matches hosted by a Tiger Electronics tagger through the hidden means.

Turning on a Phoenix LTX tagger activates a scan that searches for nearby Tiger Electronics tagger-hosted matches. If the trigger is pulled before the tagger can find a match, it will start a normal Phoenix LTX pick-up game. To join any match, the tagger must be aimed directly at the host's receiving dome.

Joining a match with no teams will have the Tiger Electronics tagger assign the Phoenix LTX tagger to a "LTAG" free-for-all match. The ammo indicator on the Phoenix LTX will indicate which player number it is assigned to.

Phoenix LTX accessories

The Shot Blast is a large attachment placed on the front of the Phoenix LTX that features two infrared emitters. It could only be purchased while Lazer Tag was still owned by Tiger Electronics.

Question:	Can I use different bullets other than nerf or will it jam
Answer:	Yes you can and many nerfers do. Just read the description carefully to make sure that it is compatible with nerf. Right now, my go to is the 200 pack of adventure force waffle darts. That can be picked up at any Walmart for about $10.
Question:	Is the magazine relese ambidextrous
Answer:	Yes, and the Modulus Longstrike’s magazine release levers are easier to access from both sides than the Tristrike’s awkwardly placed mag release levers.
Question:	Where is the instructions
Answer:	They are inside the cardboard panel or with the darts. Also, the instructions are embossed on the shell of the blaster like hieroglyphics if you look closely.
Question:	How is the performance? How far does it shoot
Answer:	I chronographed the Modulus Longstrike at an average velocity of 74 FPS (feet per second) without the barrel attached. The average velocity of an Elite blaster is 70 FPS, so this version of the Longstrike is an overachiever. However, with the long barrel attached, it gets an average of 68 FPS which is still relatively great. It also has some minor firing issues with old, worn, aftermarket darts, and some Accustrike/Accu-fake darts, but they still work with the product. Check out my full review (it’s the long one).

Answer:	the targets are plastic and the logo's are vinyl so I don't think it would hurt anything to shot water guns at it. Everything is quit small though. I don't think the targets are over 6" maybe be 7", so a big water gun would blow it over. the Nurf gun is only 5" or so also.

Answer:	It's not too big for him to use 2 of the 3 sections. He probably won't be able to reach the pump action slide @ the front w/ the shoulder stock attached. However, my son prefers to take the parts off & use them on other guns as well. The bullets go standard distance- depending how hard you pull/push on the pump slides. I've been ambushed many times (usually when I'm doing laundry) by my loving son & I'm sure your 9 year old will fare just fine. We have a rule: no head shots. I've never been bruised & I bruise quite easily. You can't go wrong w/ this gun b/c it's very versatile. It's my son's favorite gun (& he has a Nerf arsenal). ;)

Answer:	Great question. The manual loading would require significant adaptation. Perhaps a catapult or slinger style would be more appropriate for a switch.

Answer:	They are softer than regular tennis balls, but you can put any ball that's tennis ball sized into it. Plus, you can pull back the top prime lever a little bit instead of all the way and shoot it with less power. It has a big rubber band in it that stretches when you pull back the lever. So when using in the house we only pull it back a bit
