Answer:	you use a product that is supposed to disolve it. Breaks it down into water type product and it leaches out the container. I was using the stuff you use for your septic system it is cheaper than what they sell and it is the same enzymes.

Answer:	I've had my unit for about 3 months and I love it! 2 boxers and a fair amount of waste. Each week I flush the tank by adding about 5 gallons of fresh water, add the new waste and enzymes. I use Rid X and sprinkle about a 1/4 cup of it on the fresh poop in the tank. By the end of the week it has mostly turned to mush and gets flushed down the inner tube to the 4 foot dirt hole under the tank. This is very much like flushing a toilet. The enzymes in the poop in the dirt hole continue to breakdown and eventually become part of the soil. Technically if everything is working correctly you should not ever need to move this unit. It is important to keep the tank full of water and the poop submerged as that minimizes the smell and bugs. Now if I could just teach my dogs to poop in that tank, I'd be all set! :o)

Question:	Will extreme heat break down the plastic? I live in Arizona and plastic things do not thrive well for very long outdoors
Answer:	We live in North Carolina and had a very hot summer last year...record amount of 100+ days. We have only had the bins for a year and have seen no breakdown. The only thing that had happened was in a bad storm we had a 12in tree fall on one of the bins and all it did was tear the top about 2in between holes. We are very pleased with how they are and for the price you can't beat them...Hope this helps
Question:	Can I overlap it around a wire mesh composter
Answer:	You can, tho there's really no need to. The bin comes with five interlocking plastic "keys" that keep the bin shut pretty tightly. I've used my bins for about two and a half years now and they have stood up to all the wear I could put them to... Mainly putting it up, filling it up to the brim, and taking it down to move it on many multiples of occasions. In fact, I found that the method of using this composter most efficiently is using it to contain all of your materials in by filling it, (preferably by green and brown layer mixing), letting it sit for a day, and then taking it down and setting it back up next to the first stack to refill again. Using it this way, you could potentially have a number of mounds all working sequentially in a row composting, and when one is ready to turn, just use the bin set up next to the oldest to turn the pile into and repeat. These bins are very hardy, I have gotten a lot of use out of mine without the need for any wire mesh just using those keys to keep the screen closed. One thing that may be valuable to you, depending on how fast you can fill it, are little wire stakes to hold it into the ground, though I've never had any issue with it wanting to fall over at all unless there are heavy winds, or if you don't have enough starting material to form as a nice base to hold the circle in place as you fill it. Usually about a foot or two will be fine to keep it up as you fill it progressively, though it's really meant to be used for massive amounts of materials to fill it, as the process of composting works best when the pile is greater than three feet tall. If you do not have much starting material, you could potentially decrease the diameter of the bin to as small as you choose to, as the composter material can be overlapped and still locked together to a pretty small circle if need be.
Question:	Can you buy two of these and use them to construct one uber large bin
Answer:	When I realized that connecting 2 of these together results in FOUR times the volume (volume of cylinder increases by square of the radius, and radius doubles if circumference doubles), I went ahead and gave it a shot. It is working GREAT for my purposes, which is simply as a large leaf bin instead of paying to haul the leaves away (and eventually I will get some good leaf mulch out of it). I currently have 3 of these bins, 2 connected together purely for leaves, and 1 stand alone for which I will attempt a hot compost. Before filling the connected bins it was fairly floppy, but once it was about half way full (30 minutes of scooping leaf piles using my hand leaf grabbers) it gained good structure. It's not going anywhere, and we've already had high winds. I have not needed to use stakes for either setup, as they are rigid and heavy when reasonably full (even with just leaves!) and I intend to keep them full. So if you have a ton of leaves like I do, this works great and is much more efficient than multiple single bins. But it does require a good amount of material to remain in the bins at all times. If you plan on a hot/active compost, this is probably not a great idea for the reasons others have mentioned. I have a picture of the connected structure if anyone is interested.

Answer:	I have, I tried several times slightly tweaking the process in an attempt to be successful. It was challenging, stinky and I failed every time. I've no idea why! I'm thinking it would be far easier to use this as a starter and grow more by feeding this. That's my plan. I do the same with my EM. I purchased a bottle and then feed the microbes. Answer:	Bokashi is a wonderful product. I use it in a kitchen waste composting bin. I have never used it in a composting worm bin. The Bokashi website has a lot of information regarding all sorts of composting techniques. Because worms love kitchen waste, I would imagine that Bokashi is safe for them. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Using a healthy handful of bokashi for every layer of food scraps that you put into the bucket (up to 3"), a 1 gallon bag can be used to compost one to two buckets of food scraps. The amount of bokashi required varies from person to person and bucket to bucket due to the moisture content of your food scraps, ambient temperature and humidity, and food type. Remember if you are composting meat, bones or dairy extra bokashi may be necessary; better too much than too little to ensure complete fermentation and good smelling compost. It may take a little experimentation to find the perfect amount of bokashi to use with your kitchen composter. If your bucket starts to putrify (smell bad) or grow green mold (white mold is beneficial), then it’s time to toss that bucket out and use more bokashi in the next one. Answer:	Use a recovery strap to pull out stuck cars or trucks. Chains are not meant for this purpose. This chain is meant for tying down a load on a trailer - DOT approved. I'm sure you could use if for pulling out a vehicle, but I wouldn't recommend it... dangerous if it were to break.

Answer:	Everything I've read says that you shouldn't use composted dog waste to grow vegetables because in order to kill the pathogens in dog waste, the compost needs to get to 140 F. Even if the compost does get to 140 F, it's probably not worth the risk. Composted dog waste can be used for flowering plants, shrubs, trees, etc.

Answer:	This may make some noise when it rotates the shaft to move the organic waste inside the composter app. every 1.5 hour. Also if process won't be proper then you may feel little off odor due to the heat inside the composter. If only for organic waste then we do recommend but if you are treating pet waste then we do not recommend you.

Answer:	Hi Alicia, Thanks for your enquiry. If the eggs have been laid on the poop before it is picked up and put into the BioBin the eggs will hatch. The maggots then assist in the breakdown of the poop in the Bin so yes, that is normal and will cause no problem for you. This only happens in some areas in certain seasons and weather conditions so you will find that the maggots will just disappear and this is normal also.
Question:	Will this take the urine smell from bare soil
Answer:	Thanks for the question. Simply give a light sprinkle each time you add a new 'layer' of waste. You do NOT need to add the entire contents of the sachet, only a light sprinkle each time, making sure to save the remainder for the next time poop is added.
Question:	does rain affect it? do I have to reapply after a rain or will it still keep working if an unexpected shower happens
Answer:	This simply means that when you give your pet a 'worming treatment', ie: you give your pet a tablet/paste to treat for hook worms, heartworms etc. that the waste should not then be added to the bin for 48 hours as it may also harm the good garden worms that live in your yard and are doing their part to break down the waste into fertilizer. No, you certainly don't need to buy any worms. :)

Answer:	My advice, do not waste your money on this item. It is very flimsy plastic sheet that you have to assemble. Sort of like origami using thick paperboard, only it is plastic board. I returned my purchase. Better, they make a product called Doggie Dooley, mine seems pretty durable. I used it in Ohio last Winter just fine, most of the time when it wasn't covered in snow!

Answer:	That will depend on your ground. The main thing is to make sure water is always in the hole. I reside in Georgia and due to slow runoff we add water about twice a week.

Answer:	If you dig a hole deep enough and make sure to use the enzyme packet and water it (helps to break the poo down), there should not be a stench. I set the one I got way back in my yard and it's hidden by the flowers, but standing in an upright position and just dropping the crap in it, no putrid crap odor. lol I'm sure if you got right down next to it, it may, but I wouldn't recommend doing that. You could also easily make your own using a bigger PVC pipe and some sort of cover.
