Answer:	A large should work. I have a fairly stocky 80lb gal and the mediums fit perfect. They do have some play in the Velcro for adjusting the fit.

Answer:	Yes, the snaps are for adjustments. I did try sizing up and using the snap adjustments, but the size jump was significant & the gaping leg holes didn't lend well to the purpose of diapering. As such, I went back to using the smaller size. The velcro is still there for closure.

Answer:	I'm not sure I understand your question, the dog can wear the diaper to poop, however after he does you will need to remove it to change the diaper for a clean one. There is a hole for his tail to go through, but it is not big enough to allow him to poop through it when he goes outside. Our old dog wore his and pooped in it, but then we changed it for a clean one.

Using a 12oz styrofoam cup as a hole cutting template, and measuring 8" down from the back of the waistband, we drew a circle with a marker and cut it out. Answer:	I purchased these for a six pound female Papillon. In the XS they were just a tad large, they worked mind you, and could hold truck loads of urine, but occasionally she would slip out of them at night. However, I found a better diaper! "Paw Inspired", in XS. They are the perfect size for a small dog. They have a combination velcro and taped clasp which are way easier to apply and remove. If your pooch is 8-10 pounds, I would go with the "OUT!" brand, otherwise, at 5-8 pounds, I think Paw Inspired would be best.
