The reading was 000. I checked using unfiltered water and the light went on on the first, and the other registered 169. So I guess it's still filtering. I just bought 2 filters to have on hand when I need to change. I don't know if it's of any value, but I don't fill it above the black filter line. The period of time it lasts depends on your use. |

He doesn’t love getting his teeth brushed, but I think the more I do it, he’ll get used to it. The toothpaste definitely made the difference. |

| Answer: | Once a week if they'll let me. I found these to be too rough so I ended up changing to a soft baby/toddler baby toothbrush. If you're new to brushing your dog's teeth, I recommend putting them on a towel or blanket the counter or table. You might want to just get them familiar with it first. Once you put a little bit of dog toothpaste, and I stress dog toothpaste because baby toothpaste contain xylitol which is highly toxic to dogs, they are usually much more likely to allow you to brush their teeth. If you gently lift their jowels to expose their teeth it will make it easier to get to the sides. I give my dog's times of praise and talk them through the entire experience, but maybe I'm a little nutty that way lol. After I'm done brushing I will usually give them a little carrot chip as a treat or some people will use dental bones or treats for afterward. If their gums are sore you can rub a little oratene or something like that. It's the canine version of orajel. Hopefully those tips help! |
