Answer:	No the bristles are very short and I'm not a fan of the length. The bristles are not as soft as I hoped they would be either however the brush gets the dust off nicely and gives the hair a nice shine. I have had this brush almost a year and it's still going strong

Answer:	I have not been happy with this brush. I actually tried it on my guardian dogs, who have thick double coats. It was useless. The bristles are just too thick to penetrate. It barely works on the horses manes and tails. Would not recommend.

Answer:	I think you could. I bought a extra hard brush and it fit. The bag itself is pretty flexible. It would have to be a smaller sweat scraper but it should fit.

Answer:	Since the Newfoundland is a long haired dog it would work good. Since my dogs are short haired, (Australian Cattle Dogs) it does not work real well. It does work for loosening the under coat which makes it easier to comb out.

Answer:	I don't believe they do. I cheated a little and drilled small holes into the thimble, awl, needle case and then cleaned up the edges with a file. Then I put satin ribbon in holes and I hang then from my waist as I work.
