I have used this shampoo (diluted) on my fingertips to carefully clean the brown-stained hair near my dog’s eyes without any problem, but I still try not to get any directly in her eyes and always rinse well right away in a direction away from her eyes. I would not attempt that with a shampoo that wasn’t tear-free, due to discomfort and potential of causing corneal ulcers or other eye problems. Answer:	Since this product is for spot cleaning I wouldn't think it would work for a complete bathing. I know when my dog gets "really stinky", like stale water smell or the black oozy, stinky mud, or her favorite - the rotting plankton smell when she swims through it in the Sound. The only thing that works with those smells is a bath, and sometimes 2! Sorry I can't help more, without knowing the nature and severity of the smell and because of the size of your dog, I don't think I'd try it.
