Answer:	First, let me say I have found these clippers to stay sharp longer than others I have purchased. As far as scratching on the walls, it may just be a behavior or a habit they've developed. My cat often scratches on the wall after using the catbox and covering her "deposit" (her box is cleaned daily). Keeping the nails clipped has saved our sofa, bedspreads, drapes and carpets. If your cat is wiggly try wrapping it in a towel exposing only the paw/nails you want to clip. Answer:	I purchased these for use with my 4 rabbits. From 4lbs to 6.5 lbs. I think they work well. Good grip. As long as you can get the locking mechanism to open all the way the clippers work well. I don't use the guard because the nails are so small, but I think this works quite well.

Answer:	If your dogs nails are clear you can see when your getting close to the quick, it's a pinkish thing that's in the middle of the nails. If your dremel ( grind) that the nail will bleed. Use flour to stop the bleeding. If I dont dremel (grind) my dogs nails every 2 weeks the that quick gets long and then I cant cut the nails as short as I want. The quick will get smaller everytime you dremel the nails, so if you want them shorter cut a little every week to keep the quick small. It's a learning process but it's awesome and I like how the nails aren't super sharp like when you use a nail clipper. I have been doing this for 10 + years. My puppies ( 4 yrs) are a little difficult so I have my daughter sit in front of dog and give little pieces of lunch meat to distract them or if I am alone I put them in tub and put peanut better on shower wall so they are busy licking that and not paying attention to me.

Answer:	I think this is better than the pedipaws where you constantly have to buy refills. My dog has thick nails and it works pretty good.
Question:	How do you know how much to grind off
Answer:	Some dog nails are translucent so you can see where the soft inner part stops, don't grind into that part. If their nails are totally opaque it's more complicated, but if you look at the underside of a dog toenail you should see the cuppy hollow part that dirt gets trapped in, my rule of thumb is that all of that hollow part is safe to grind off. Stop and check it out if they flinch though, no need to take risks.

Answer:	Hello, Please pull out the plastic tab which is inserted into the battery case. Then push the switch in that is highlighted with a light bulb or squeeze the handles together. This will activate the light. If this fails check the batteries are inserted correctly. If you have checked all of these and the light does not switch on the light is faulty and you would need process a return/replacement. Thank you!

Answer:	Unfortunately the Peticare will not illuminate black nails.

Answer:	Cat's nails are cut side to side, on flat part of nail not to split, before the curve. If you are cutting straight down like a dog, it will cause "hangnails", and pain/bleeding. Maybe consult your vet for advice.
