Answer: I wouldn't assume that limited ingredient dog foods are desirable. Although they don't know for sure, many vets are concerned about a heart condition manifesting in the larger breeds which they suspect may be due to grain free products. Is this dead, diseased and dying meat or is it USDA inspected and human grade meat and all the added junk is just that. Dogs increasingly are getting cancer, as people feed them kibble without knowing the food sources or the "additional" ingredients. Read the Truth about Pet Food -- while it can be a little extreme - the basic information is correct...

Answer: No free samples BUT there is a trial-size bag to sample without buying too much. I did the sample bag Salmon and my picky eater likes it and trust me my girl won't eat most........she eats Victor Performance and that's about it. Answer: So I share your concern. Most dog foods say "made with international ingredients" and this is a red flag for me. China has been known to have bone meal made with with products from euthanized animals. This is your greatest concern. In the case of this dog food, the beef is sourced from the usa but all other variations are from "international sources" so I am trying the beef version. I will mix this with their current food and slowly transition. I would rather have 100% usa sourced ingredients but this is next to impossible to find.

Question: Which ingredients are imported, and from where
Answer: Look at the ingredient list on the back of the bag. US and imported ingredients. How much of the protein actually comes from meat? Is this dead, diseased and dying meat or is it USDA inspected and human grade meat and all the added junk is just that. Dogs increasingly are getting cancer, as people feed them kibble without knowing the food sources or the "additional" ingredients. Read the Truth about Pet Food -- while it can be a little extreme - the basic information is correct...
Question: Free samples which ones
Answer: No free samples BUT there is a trial-size bag to sample without buying too much. I did the sample bag Salmon and my picky eater likes it and trust me my girl won't eat most........she eats Victor Performance and that's about it. She started on Blue Buffalo Bison...but then stop eating unless I add something like chicken or hamburger to it.............then I found Victor and she has been on it since.....lately she has not been so eager to eat so, I tried the Way..........bingo............she liked it!
Question: What ingredients are imported? Also what plant is this food made at
Answer: So I share your concern. Most dog foods say "made with international ingredients" and this is a red flag for me. China has been known to have bone meal made with with products from euthanized animals. This is your greatest concern. In the case of this dog food, the beef is sourced from the usa but all other variations are from "international sources" so I am trying the beef version. I will mix this with their current food and slowly transition. I would rather have 100% usa sourced ingredients but this is next to impossible to find.
Question: Other ingredients are sourced around the world... what and where? Does that mean we should be worried about the ingredients and their sources
Answer: From the product description: "High quality ingredients are blended in the USA for quality control..." The word 'blended' is a weasel word that entirely obfuscates the actual sources of the ingredients; this along with 'in the USA' appears to be misleading by design.

Answer: I just weighed a cup of this and it was 4 oz. So 4 cups per lb, 60 cups per 15-lb bag.
