Answer:	I´ll say is not a good option as a water bowl. Specially if your dog is kind of big. The bowl is small because it has to fit in the slant platform (the bowl itself is a normal metalic one). Also as a water bowl would be a waste since any dog can "lick" the water from the water bowl. The bowl has been great for my Bulldog because its solve the problem of pushing the food due to her salient jaw (this way the food don´t go away or get out of the bowl). Slant bowls are made for Brachycephalic dog breeds (flat and wide skull shape, like Bulldogs or Pugs). Don´t see any special need for other dog breeds.

Answer:	This bowl works fine for all of my dogs (50lb, 25lb, 15lb) they all have size large. I would prefer my 50lb ( boarder collie/pit mix )to use the tall custom made stand I bought (better for digestion) but this is the bowl she prefers. My bowls don't have an issue with rattling or wiggling or maybe I just don't notice. My 25lb baby ( wire hair terrier) had trouble eating out of a standard bowl and this has worked perfect for him for years now.

Answer:	about 3 quarts or 96 ounces if filled to the rim. 100 oz will not fit

Answer:	We love this water bowl as well as all three of our cats. Never had water splash out. We do keep a towel under it just in case. The only time it makes noise is when it needs more water. Air siphoning. Let's us know they are using it. There is a variable motor on the pump to also control pressure and noise.

Answer:	I have another Drinkwell model and when it is noisy as described, it means that the lever on the filter is not set low enough (should be around 2:00 setting — keep inching it towards 3:00 until the noise stops, but never should be as low as the full 3:00 position) OR there’s not enough water in the bowl for the filter engine to run smoothly. But the filter is being ruined if you’re getting that loud noise, so you need to fix one or both of the two things above or turn it off. Operation should be quiet!

Answer:	The rubber base is removable. I just use my thumbnail to lift it and then pull it off. I've been putting the bowl in the dishwasher. Make sure it's dry and then place the rubber base back by pushing it in. Go around in a circle and press. I usually turn the bowl over and push down just to be sure. I've had these bowls about a year and the base hasn't fallen off yet-still a tight fit.
