Answer:	I think it was all walnut shells. I tried it but didn’t like it. It got mold on it fast when they dropped their water on it.

I don't think it would be wise for any bird to get it in their mouth. So strange your bird poops at night. My African grey goes into a sleep cage and he never poops until he goes to his day cage. Or is it strange that my parrot does that? LOL
