Answer:	It should fit in that space. Since you have a 10 gallon tank I would suggest the 10-20 filter system

Answer:	This filter does not have a control flow. Make sure your water quality is okay by testing it. The fish could be stressed. Otherwise, we would recommend foam media pulled over the bottom strainer for very small fish such as fry.

Answer:	about 3 quarts or 96 ounces if filled to the rim. 100 oz will not fit

Answer:	We love this water bowl as well as all three of our cats. Never had water splash out. We do keep a towel under it just in case. The only time it makes noise is when it needs more water. Air siphoning. Let's us know they are using it. There is a variable motor on the pump to also control pressure and noise.

Answer:	I have another Drinkwell model and when it is noisy as described, it means that the lever on the filter is not set low enough (should be around 2:00 setting — keep inching it towards 3:00 until the noise stops, but never should be as low as the full 3:00 position) OR there’s not enough water in the bowl for the filter engine to run smoothly. But the filter is being ruined if you’re getting that loud noise, so you need to fix one or both of the two things above or turn it off. Operation should be quiet!

Answer:	I don't know of any other cat food dispenser. However, we filled this dispenser with chockful of cat food pellets because we were going on vacation. We left this outdoor in the patio because we have an outdoor cat. This was a big mistake. All of the animals in the neighbourhood devoured it within the same day. They toppled the dispenser and was able to shake out every last bit of food. My poor cat had to fend for itself while we were away. We are now back to giving the pet daily portions.

Answer:	I don't know about bowls, but dry food is good with my cat for two weeks, without washing. Water I don't use since cats don't usually drink where they eat. My cat drinks whatever he gets outside. Hope this helps.

Answer:	There's no need to "push the spring" on this canister if there is water in the plastic canister. The bowl should fill up automatically and will stop filling once the stainless steel container is full of water. Once the plastic canister is full of water, check the black lid to be sure the O-ring is in place and the lid is secured correctly on the canister before tipping it over to let water flow into the bowl. We love this water station and have had no issues with it whatsoever. It fills perfectly. I also love the fact that I can thoroughly clean the stainless steel bowl in between fills as my dog can get it pretty dirty, and the canister itself is easy to fill.

Question:	Is there an on/of switch or must the unit be unplugged to stop it
Answer:	I recommend weekly washing by hand (no dishwasher) in a lightly soapy Dawn bath with very thorough rinse in plain very warm water and towel dry. It's important to disassemble the pump to clean possible hair or slime from the propeller and magnet. I bought my 1st Drinkwell Plat in 2011 and it is still running at my daughter's house with only a pump being replaced recently in 5.5 years. We need to refill the reservoir weekly so that is a good time for us to clean it thoroughly and we have gotten really good at washing all the parts and cleaning the pump in less than 15 minutes. Rinse the filter in plain warm water (no soap) will extend the life as well.
Question:	The plastic reservoir has a musty smell to it. I use bottled water and have washed it with hot soapy water to no avail. Ideas, suggestions
Answer:	I would not advise that given the electrical plug is not rated for outdoor use... I live in FL and there are plenty of mosquitoes inside and I've never seen them lay eggs in water (though I recommend cleaning it at least once a month and exchanging filter).

Answer:	Thank you for your review. Any foamy bubbles on the water's surface can be caused by one of two things. If you use a very sudsy soap when cleaning the fountain, you need to be sure to thoroughly rinse the fountain when cleaning as any soap residue may lead to this. Alternatively, this is your pet's saliva. As your pets take a drink, their saliva can fall into the fountain and float on the water's surface. As the water aerates from the waterfall, this can cause the foaminess you're experiencing. To clean this, we recommend soaking your pet fountain in a 50/50 water and white vinegar solution.

Answer:	It only prevents spilling. Dripping water from their mouth when they are done drinking is very normal for some breeds. The water dish does not change that. Some dogs who learn to drink from drip waters or faucet type waters will drip less due to they are in a different position when drinking so water pools less in their cheeks
Question:	Does this work for large dogs? I am concerned that my black lab won't be able to get his snout in the whole to get water
Answer:	if you actually remove the lid yes you can fill it up more than 2 cups of water. no one realizes the lid comes off and that's why they give it bad reviews. you really need to take the lid off to rinse it at least once a day otherwise your dog is drinking mostly drool and food crumbs and not fresh water.

Answer:	Hi, It's a heavier plastic on the bottom so it doesn't skid or spill over. We have used these bowls for at least 20 years and really like them. They last 5-6 years and it's the top that breaks. We have 3 Cocker Spaniels and don't want them getting their ears wet. They are excellent.

Also, when its hot I fill it half way with ice cubes and the inner ring floats nicely on it. My shepherd use to stick her whole face into the dish and she can't do it with this bowl

Answer:	My dog isn't as large, but she had a large fight kennel and this bowl has worked very well on her 8,500 mile trip one way, and she's made that trip several times. If she doesn't get enough water from it, she pushes on the floating top with her paw. The hole is pretty large, so I don't think it would be an issue.
Question:	How heavy is this bowl? Does it tip easily
Answer:	You just add the water, and do not have to take it apart. The bowl has worked very well for my dogs. It is a little a little larger than my other bowls which I also like. I do use the floating plate because we sometime have the bowl in the RV or the car and it keeps the water from spilling. Also, I have schnauzers and their beards don't get quite as wet with the floating plate.

Answer:	Van Ness Stainless Steel Dishes: We use a grade of stainless steel classified as 201 on all Van Ness Stainless Steel pet bowls. Type 201 is safe for food and water contact and characterized by low nickel contact. Type 201 is typically also used in cooking utensils. A silicon carbide abrasive is used to polish the stainless steel in the manufacturing process. We do not recommend placing these items in the dishwasher. Hand wash and dry these products. Stainless Steel Dishes are manufactured in India. We have used the same company for 10+ years.
Question:	How come mine water is not coming out? When we cam home and found out my dogs didnt have water to drink because the water fountain was dry!? Oh no
Answer:	Yes but most of the time I wash by hand because I don't want the plastic non slid bottom to fade away. But yes they are dishwasher safe and I've had mine for almost two years

Question:	I need a larger bowl than the one that comes with the 1/2 gal. bottle. Is the difference in size only on the size of the water bottle
Answer:	I don’t know the weight of the bowl, however I do know that it doesn’t flip easily. I have a large dog that weighs about 80 lbs and he doesn’t knock it over easily.
