Question:	I'm assembling it now, should the bowl snap into the base? Mine doesn't have the look/fit that it's properly aligned & sits very loose in the base
Answer:	I have tried duct tape, gorilla tape, mounting tape, etc. My cats are too strong, I guess, and always managed to get the bowl out. Now I use a thin, oval headband (think giant rubberband) that goes all the way around the bowl and the feeder. I've used gorilla tape to keep it in place. Two weeks and so far the bowl has stayed attached, which is a record.
Question:	Does this have a counter so you know food is being dispensed
Answer:	I would say ants could def. get to it and proably other bugs too. My cats are able to get their paws up the chute and into a small opening to knock food out.
Question:	How can I attached the bowl more securely as it comes off too easily
Answer:	It's very sturdy for my 13lbs mini dachshund who likes to pull and flip the bowl once the food is gone. If you keep the container full, it holds good weight that makes the unit very sturdy.

This will take you to the site where you can stop the delivery of the food. I spent several months notifying "the people" and the order remained intact and delivery continued. Answer:	I don't do anything. My cat "paws" at it, just a little, then more food comes down. If I keep the bowl full by helping her she overeats.

Answer:	It's a very sturdy plastic material. I can put a full 10lb bag of food in it & it holds well. I do have to shake it when my cats eat the food in the bowl part bc it gets wedged in the hole but not to the point where the food won't come out. The bowl is a good 6" circumference so it's big enough for both my cats to eat at the same time. It's easy to take apart & clean too. Definitely a good buy if you feed your pet freely. I work crazy hours so it's nice I can fill it for a week or two without worrying abt them not eating. Hope this helps!

Question:	How long do the batteries last? Does it eat batteries fast
Answer:	I have 2 of these and I just changed my batteries for the first time since getting the product ~2.5 years ago. Both feeders batteries died within ~1 month of each other. For reference I have the feeder turning 5 times a day and was using Amazon Basics brand D batteries.

Answer:	No, you don't have to re-program the machine every day. I hope we're talking about the PetSafe 5-tray machine. Because this 2-tray device isn't going to work for you. I have the 5-tray PetSafe product and it's worked very well. (1) Program the current time of day.(2) Program up to 9 different programs (no idea why you'd need that many)In your case, you'd program 4 different set times. Remember, that 1 of the trays is already open, hence no need for a timer.Your 4 programmed times will rotate the remaining 4 hidden trays at the chosen time. So, yes all you have to do is plop some food into the trays each day and you're set. My cat has not managed to open it either, so as far as I'm concerned it's cat proof enough. Good luck.
Question:	Can a Dog turn this unit over, and get to all of the Food
Answer:	This is a very small, very lightweight plastic feeding system and my dog was quickly and easily able to turn it over, slide it around the floor, and attempted to play with it like a dog toy. What's worse, the single AA battery is exposed once installed in the back of the unit (no cover... it could just pop out), so if a dog is mishandling this feeder it could end up eating a AA battery. Best to use this with a CAT or very small dog or puppy only.
Question:	For the 5-meal feeder, has anyone fed wet food with it
Answer:	I put cold wet food that I make in 3 servings and keep in refrigerator until ready to go to bed at 10:30. When I am going to bed I fill one empty tray with ice. My dog has Cushings Disease and wants to eat every 3 hours including through the night. The first feeding is at 11:30 pm. The food stays cool enough although to be safe i eliminate the meat in the last 2 trays that open at 2:30 and 5:00 am. I have had no problems. So far works extremely well and I am finally able to sleep through the night again. Wish I had known about this product a very long time ago!

Question:	Are additional stainless steel bowls available for purchase? I imagine having a spare bowl would make frequent cleaning a lot easier
Answer:	I don't know about bowls, but dry food is good with my cat for two weeks, without washing. Water I don't use since cats don't usually drink where they eat. My cat drinks whatever he gets outside. Hope this helps.
Question:	Is there a recommended cat food to use with this that helps with the gravity issue? I have this feeder and its great but the food doesnt dispense automatically. I have to shake it for the food to come down
Answer:	I don't know of any other cat food dispenser. However, we filled this dispenser with chockful of cat food pellets because we were going on vacation. We left this outdoor in the patio because we have an outdoor cat. This was a big mistake. All of the animals in the neighbourhood devoured it within the same day. They toppled the dispenser and was able to shake out every last bit of food. My poor cat had to fend for itself while we were away. We are now back to giving the pet daily portions.
Question:	i read a review that said you had to push the spring to get it to fill up the bowl? is this correct? i wanted something that was automatic
Answer:	There's no need to "push the spring" on this canister if there is water in the plastic canister. The bowl should fill up automatically and will stop filling once the stainless steel container is full of water. Once the plastic canister is full of water, check the black lid to be sure the O-ring is in place and the lid is secured correctly on the canister before tipping it over to let water flow into the bowl. We love this water station and have had no issues with it whatsoever. It fills perfectly. I also love the fact that I can thoroughly clean the stainless steel bowl in between fills as my dog can get it pretty dirty, and the canister itself is easy to fill.
Question:	Can you tell the water level by looking at it? It appears to be solid but is it opaque
Answer:	Yes you can tell the water level. Just look at it. Maybe if the lighting is super poor or you need your eyes checked you can't, but I can see how much water and food is left in mine.

Question:	How easy is it to tip over
Answer:	I have a big German Shepherd. Love this feeder. He has a dog door so we use this when we're on vaca for up to a week. He has learned he can push it to make a couple of kernerls fall out but he doesn't tip it over and he's an aggressive eater. He's a 125 lbs.
Question:	How much can the unit hold - if feeding 1/2 cup each day, how many days will the stored food last
Answer:	Thank you for your interest in this item. This unit holds 24 cups and can dispense up to 12 meals a day. If you use 1 cup per day on a 24 cup capacity that would be 24 days. If they use half that amount (1/2 cup) then it would double it to 48 days.
Question:	As far as the dispensing chute, would a very motivated cat be able to reach their paw up and get food to drop
Answer:	There's not a ton of room between the bottom of the dispensing part and where the bowl is, so it would probably be difficult for the cat to get a good position to reach up into the chute from underneath. In addition, the conveyer belt that moves the food up has fairly rigid plastic dividers, one of which is always right in front, so that would also block little paws if they managed to get up there somehow. I haven't had a problem, but my cat also might be too lazy to try. It doesn't seem to me to be as suceptible to break-ins as some of the other feeders I saw when I was looking to buy.
Question:	How well will this feeder work for two cats? One is a bit greedy
Answer:	We have had this feeder since Aug 2015 for our 2 small dogs! 1 a 12 lbs poodle and the other a 3 lbs yorkie! This feeder works great for them both had 2 different eating habits and it has tought them they don't have to scarf up there food. That the right amount is in the bowl for both and they have learned tpenjoy eating! they know they will be fed at the same time morning and night! They accually stand at their dish and have learned to share! They have learned what time it will come out and we don't have to rush home to feed our babies! We just always check 2 a week to make sure that the food container is full & everyday we check to see the batteries are working!

Question:	Is it easy for my 18 pound cat to knock this over or open the top
Answer:	One of our furbabies is a big boy...22 pounds. We actually have this feeder sitting high on the top level of a cat tree. Probably around 6 feet off the floor. Between 3 cats ranging from small . large, and xx large, they haven't knocked it over nor even attempted to. The lid closes very securely and they've really shown no interest in the lid. They are mainly concerned with the food in the bowl of the feeder. Prior to placing the feeder so high (so the dog wouldn't incur injuries from cat attacks for daring to use the feeder as if it was for her also) the feeder was on the floor and the cats were never seen to try to open the top. If they were trying to open it in "secret" when weren't home or in the room, they were unsuccessful. They've already trained themselves to go running to feeder when they hear the recording play just before the food is release. They are fast LOL sometimes they make it there in time to watch the food be dispensed. We LOVE this feeder and so do the cats. The dog did also until it was put on cat mountain where she can't climb to and isn't allowed if she could.
Question:	How do you clean the food container inside
Answer:	I have not had it that long but the top opens so you can reach down inside with a damp cloth very easily.
Question:	The description states the tray is stainless steel, and in photos & videos, the tray looks and sounds like plastic
Answer:	The tray itself is plastic but it has a stainless steel insert making clean up really easy!

Answer:	No! This is THE BEST feeder I've ever had in that respect. My expert-feeder-breaker cat cannot get a kibble out of it. He cannot reach up into it, he cannot knock it over and break in the top. (things he's done with EVERY OTHER FEEDER)

Answer:	Beyond Wet Dog food is not formulated for diabetic dogs. We recommend speaking with your veterinarian to find a formula specific to your dog's nutritional needs.
Question:	How easy is this feeder to knock over or get into? My cats like to try to get into their food container and take apart their water fountain
Answer:	Be careful because the Variety Pack only gives you 6 cans ( 2 of 3 flavors) for around $10 and if you buy them separately by the case you’ll get 12 cans for between $15-17 depending on flavor selected. My suggestion is to get a Variety pack to see which flavors your dogs prefer then go for a full case because it’s cheaper on AMAZON. **NOTE: I get the Lamb with spinach flavor which is Not included in that variety pack but my dogs love it. However, it’s the most expensive, too at $21 on auto ship. This is a good food with great smell.
Question:	How easily can the bowl be removed? My cats like to mess with the bowls. I had to glue the bowl to the last Feeder I had
Answer:	If it is the food with peas and carrots in it, it is ground, if it is the food with green beans it is chunked. I feed my dogs both kinds and they love it, it smells very good when you open the can and the ingredients are quality.

Answer:	A standard rain, or even a heavy rain, yes it is ok to use. The top keep the water out, the only way water would get in is if it was a sidewards rain, like a hurricane.

Answer:	I have ordered regularly through Amazon for about a year. Over this period of time, it has happened, a dented can or two, yet was extremely RARE to have occurred. Also, it was only a RARE shipment of a dented can or two yet did not effect the food quality, or, my ability to open the can. Hope this helped. Over all, I was always happy with my service and shipments. Yet, am unable to say at 100% all cans were perfect, yet, pretty close.
