14 best spider man comics

Spider-Man comics are a popular and long-running series within the realm of comic books and graphic novels. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, Spider-Man made his debut in "Amazing Fantasy" #15 in 1962, published by Marvel Comics. The character quickly became an iconic figure in the world of superheroes.

Here are some key aspects of Spider-Man comics:

  1. Origin Story: Spider-Man's real name is Peter Parker. He gained his superpowers when he was bitten by a radioactive spider, which gave him agility, strength, and the ability to cling to walls. His uncle's tragic death serves as a catalyst for him to use his newfound abilities responsibly, leading to his career as Spider-Man.

  2. Secret Identity: One of the defining characteristics of Spider-Man is his dual life as Peter Parker, a high school student and later a freelance photographer, and as the web-swinging superhero. The struggles of balancing these two identities are a recurring theme in Spider-Man comics.

  3. Rogues' Gallery: Spider-Man has one of the most famous rogues' galleries in comic book history. Villains like the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, the Sandman, and Venom have become iconic adversaries for the hero.

  4. Spider-Sense and Web Shooters: Peter Parker's scientific background is showcased through his invention of web-shooting devices and his "spider-sense," which alerts him to danger. His web-shooters allow him to swing between skyscrapers and create various web-based gadgets.

  5. Team Affiliations: Spider-Man is also a member of various superhero teams, including the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, and has teamed up with other Marvel heroes on numerous occasions.

  6. Alternate Universes and Storylines: Over the years, Spider-Man comics have explored various alternate universes, resulting in different versions of the character.Notable examples include Miles Morales (from the Ultimate Universe) and Spider-Gwen.

  7. Iconic Creators: Many talented writers and artists have contributed to Spider-Man's rich history, including Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, John Romita Sr., Todd McFarlane, and many more.

  8. Cultural Impact: Spider-Man is not only a beloved character in the comic book world but has also had a significant impact on popular culture. The character has been featured in animated series, live-action movies, video games, and various merchandise.

Spider-Man comics continue to be a cornerstone of Marvel Comics, captivating readers of all ages with the enduring story of a young hero navigating the challenges of both everyday life and the responsibilities that come with great power.

User questions & answers

Question: Are these appropriate for children
Answer: Depends on the age of the child. In general omits, comics are generally targeted towards children 12 and up. We avoid including comics with explicitle material when at all possible but are unable to guarantee that there will be no violence or blood portrayed.
Question: Do they smell bad
Answer: I don’t know if they literally smell, but I bought this for my young grandson and ended up tossing them due to the curse words in them. I was disappointed.
Question: are these comic books the newest edition
Answer: They are random. The one I got had some new and old ( 80's and 90's) comics
Question: Are these fine to order for my nephew he's 11 years old
Answer: It’s a little PG13 in my opinion. There’s the usual amount of comic book violence but also rather old fashioned objectification of women seen through the eyes of comic book illustrators from 40 years ago.
