Question:	How bulky is the collar for a 7lb cat
Answer:	The sensor measures 2" long by 1" wide by about 5/8" thick. Our cat is 12 lb and it doesn't seem to bother her though it looks a bit large to me. Be sure to buy extra batteries for the collar - we tried to solder our own (they are a regular type of battery that has the contacts modified) and it didn't work. The collar ran out of juice, so we had to pay overnight shipping to get new batteries, and to spend the night opening and closing the door for the cat.
Question:	Has anyone installed this door when owning two dogs of vastly different heights? (Corgi & Lab for example) What height did you install the door at
Answer:	I have two large doors installed, one is mounted so bottom of door is at floor level for a Beagle with IVDD that has a no jump order from her vet due to spinal damage. The other is mounted high for large German Shepherds. Added a deck platform outside with ramp since elevation was too high for either. Incidentally one of my 100lb dogs actually prefers the lower mount door, and just ducks down when she goes through it, and it works great for her. So it really depends on the dogs, how much they mind jumping versus ducking.
Question:	Does the door have a timer feature? i.e at 10pm only let the dog inside but not out
Answer:	Unfortunately, there is no type of built-in timer feature. You can definitely set it up so the dog can go in but not out, but you'd have to plug the door's adaptor into an external timer to get the functionality you want - i.e., if the dog was outside you'd have to have the door plugged into a timer that had the door turned completely off. Then you could have it power up at your set time and I think the door would remember that you had it set for entrance only. However, if the power failed & the door was running on its backup battery that would be an issue! You might give High Tech Pet a call (805-644-1797), they're very helpful. They're on Pacific time BTW.
Question:	If my dog takes too long coming through the door, will it chop her in half
Answer:	No Bill, it will not chop her in half. First of all, the door closes on gravity alone. Secondly, there is a built in safety that pulls the door up if it encounters any obstacle in its path, on the same principle of the safety used in garage doors. Answer:	The door flange that goes on the outside of the door has a neoprene seal to seal out wind and weather which is great for slab doors. My wood door has decorative panels on the inside and is flat on the outside, so this set-up works for me. You could call Ideal Products and find out if they have a kit for raised door panels. As for holding up, we've had to replace flaps on our previous Ideal 1 flap model about every 6 years with 2 dogs running in and out. I don't know how the flaps on this Ruff-Weather door will hold up, but they should be fine, especially since we are down to one dog. The frame on the pet door we replaced was 18 years old and still in good shape

Answer:	Hi Nina. The flap is 14 3/4 wide by 19 3/4 long. I've had this dog door about 3 yrs and I still really like. It's very durable.
Question:	Can you install this door on a metal storm door? I don't think its more than 1/2 inch
Answer:	we installed it and it's fine. We didn't do anything to change the door. It comes with options for a thin or thicker door. Ours was a thin screen door and it went in very easily and works great

Answer:	Yes it does at times. I guess when the wind is blowing directly at the door it makes the flap swing.
