Answer:	The Heated K&H Outdoor Kitty House would be the more sturdy of the two and provide sufficient heat. It has an excellent thick heating pad you put inside which is very cushionyyy. I took off the plastic on both sides since the movement of the plastic seemed to scare the feral cats away. Heating pad is warm for them and works with the heat of their own bodies. Keep this out of the rain and wind. Garage would be perfect if for a feral cat, otherwise place it where it wont get wet and battered by wind and where dogs cant get to the cats. I bought this for our feral cat we have had since a kitten when her mother put her up on our wall and left her there. We took her in and kept her in our garage and she has always remained very warm, and that was 2 years ago. She roams the neighborhood but always comes back at night for food and her house.

Answer:	I have two of these houses plus a home made one in the front of my house under my eaves...Unfortunately, I don't have an outdoor plug nearby so I bought a heavy duty outdoor extension plug with a three plug coupler and plugged the three in, ran the extension cord under the eaves of my house up off the ground and into my garage...plug connections are covered to avoid getting wet and this is the third year I've used them without incident

Answer:	This is very late, I realize since the question was asked 4 years + ago, but I just have to add - if you have senior cats and it gets cold where you live? Please bring them inside. *Before anyone yells at me, I do know that some kitties refuse to come in a house. I have cared for feral cats and cats that are fully socialized with humans & I know they each have a unique personality complete with "quirks" - in which case this house could be awesome! We always just have a box with a towel and sometimes a heating pad with a timer for the ones who won't come in. But if at all possible,bring those kitties in :)

Answer:	I have 3 k&h heated cat houses of which I’ve run for almost 6 mos a year, for 3 yrs now. I am an electrician. As long as it is plugged in it is using power. The power these use are so minimal, they’re not much different than running 4-5 LED lights. No extra money at all. I am retired, now. I’d be screaming at the cats, “quit going in & out those doors, you little punks.”

Answer:	It heats up whether or not there’s a pet on it... the timer (which we never used anyway, fwiw) is to turn the pad off when it gets warmer in the day or if you don’t want the heat on when you’re not home. Question:	how does this house stand up to wind,rain,snow? any suggestions what to do
Answer:	Whenever you have an oil based marker, you'll have to use something stronger than soap and water. Think nail polish remover or mineral spirits. It's just like using enamel paint in a can. If you hurry while it's wet, the soap and water may work somewhat, but oil based paint needs a solvent to remove it under normal circumstances.

Answer:	yes you can but you have to do it in phases and don't spray directly on or too close. also I do a brush on mod podge to all my rocks before I spray ant type of clear coat. I hope this helps. honestly I thought I ordered the posca but that's not what came. I still want the posca markers though

Answer:	Unfortunately, mine never worked. The sellers were more than helpful by refunding my money being as though it was out of stock and could not be exchanged. It's a really nice quality clock. Looks like authentic stone. I believe it could withstand the heat but not in direct sunlight. Hot dry air is one thing, but that AZ sun is something else. I hope this was helpful.

Answer:	I bought the 15 to 25 pound size for a cat, and I compared the specifications on the 25 to 50 pound size to the size I bought, and there appears to be only about three inches difference in each dimension. So I don't believe that the 25 to 50 pound size would be roomy enough for a German shepherd.

Answer:	I bought this as a house for feral cats. Since I have nothing to compare it to regarding insulation all I can say is that is is a study, heavy weight plastic material. I put straw in the one I purchased and the cats seem fine with it.
Question:	what are the dimensions of the trays in the pull out drawers
Answer:	The dimensions are: 26.5 long x 18 wide x 16.5 inches high. The length dimension includes a 4" "porch" over the opening, so I would say that the inside dimension would be more like 22" long. The peak of the roof makes it two to three inches taller than the 16.5", but that wouldn't be usable space for a pet. I use mine for a cat, but it should also work for a small to medium-small dog.

Answer:	Maybe a typical thin blue tarp to keep the wind out. There's not a lot of support, it folds up on itself in one piece. You might be able to put this in some sort of container if you want to try that. I didn't have to worry about the wind because we have it in the garage.
