They are there to support, it does NOT have any shock. Usually the collar comes with a pair mounted to be easier, but they can be easily changed with the included tool.

Answer:	No, it does come with 2 of the 123 Lithium batteries and they last a long time. You can buy the rechargeable version on Amazon for really cheap. However this collar didn’t work even with our pound Yoriekpoo’s. I really think the vibration collars aren’t enough to get the job done. Having shock as an option would be nice for stubborn barkers.

How does it work ?

The Beep + Vibrationn mode (the indicator light is green)

The device will beep for 3 seconds and then vibrate for 3 seconds every time it’s triggered.The trigger mode has no limit on the number of times, as long as the dog barking is detected, it will always trigger.

In Beep+Vibrate+Shock mode(the indicator light is red)

The vibration and shock progressively lasts longer and becomes more intense until the barking stops for 30 seconds, if dogs bark after 30 seconds, This product will start from the first bark.

Answer:	Maybe it is set too tight. Ours doesn't bark that much anymore. 'the collar will pick up barking sound and wiggle on a table or something but our little fur babies give it alot of respect. i dont think they get a bad shock. I wouldn't do that to my babies. Hope this helps

Answer:	It works great and my dog has finally started listening to my commands, even when he is not wearing the collar. There has never been any reason to disaster to test to see if it is waterproof. I would recommend it but can't vouch for it about the water.
