Question:	Can this be left outdoors in the rain in Florida
Answer:	I don't know about Florida, but we live in the Pacific Northwest, and I have been driving around with it in the back of my pickup for the past 3 years, and it is still in great shape. It rains alot here in the winter, and it can get pretty cold, plus it gets hot in the summer, and I have not had any problems with it cracking or warping, and the traction surface has not peeled off at all.
Question:	How does the ramp hold on to the surface? I'm considering this for the dive platform of my boat so that my dog can get in and out of the water
Answer:	the sandpaper surface was too abrasive for my dog's pads, so I put velcro and carpet on it for traction. That wouldn't work in water. Also I have found that the ramp slips around where it's edge rests on the tailgate and I have to hold it steady. This wouldn't work very well for a boat...even more slippery. pick something with good rubber feetPS...edited this post to include saying that if your dog is under 40lbs it should work fine if you attach better rubber grips to the "boat end" of the ramp

Answer:	I have a Subaru Forester and an old Norwegian Elkhound. This ramp works for us just fine! Tell you what, though: the angle is the thing. Find the specs for this ramp - the length, specifically. Then use a a stiff tape measure or something of equal length at the rear of your Outback to the ground to approximate the angle. That way, you can be the judge of whether your dog can handle it.Additionally, there is a world of dog ramps out there, widths & lengths. Maybe your dog needs a longer one (and therefore a less steep angle.) You'll have to figure that out.Good wishes.
Question:	Do you think my 100-pound golden retriever would be able to get up in the back seat of a Ford F150 crew cab with this ramp
Answer:	Absolutely. My 98 lb. German Shepherd gets into our SUV as well as into the back of my husbands extended cab GMC Truck with this ramp. It takes a little coaching and guidance at first - she was very hesitant to use it the first few times, but now she sees us put it up, and waits at the bottom - we always hold on to her collar because of the angle, just make sure she doesn't walk over the side. Answer:	I do! I got this camera for my foster cats, and I use blue buffalo crunchy cat treats with no issue. It will launch a one 4-5 treats at a time due to their small size, but that’s fine since I have 4 cats

Answer:	There is no cat version. You can still use the regular Furbo for cats, but it was definitely designed for dogs. The camera is great, the treat dispenser is awesome, I love the 2 way audio. It's great to check in on your cats. However, I'm finding it will not record my cats. It only records when it sees a person, dog activity, dog barking, or when your dog looks straight into the camera. Because it's looking for dogs, it doesn't register the cats and therefore records nothing, so I can't check in on them earlier in the day. So you can use it for cats, but I'm 100% certain there are better cat cameras out there, like PetCube

Answer:	Yes, the ramp works great. I used it by my patio door for a dog that had arthritis and knee problems. The only one problem is that in the winter, I had to bring the ramp inside so it could thaw out from time to time. Otherwise it acted like slide for my dogs. Great product!
Question:	Reviews from 2008/09 said there were very sharp edges from which some dogs suffered severe cuts. Has that problem been resolved
Answer:	I am considering buying this ramp and have read most of the reviews before I make my decision. I just read a review dated 2011 that these sharp edges have since been corrected and the once sharp edges are now a sturdy protective plastic.

Question:	Is it EITHER 48 or 87 long, or can you adjust it to any length in between? Anything to help keep the lower end from sliding on a wood floor
Answer:	It slides easily to the length you want. It is 48 to 87 inches long depending on how much you want to slide it out. It is a great product. It has traction on the surface so the dogs can go up and down easily. I have a wood floor and it did not slide but I wasn't sure if it would damage the floor so I put a small door rug on the floor and placed the ramp on it. I had a 100 pd and a 67 pd dog running up and down it constantly. We lost both of them but I won't get rid of the ramp because we will get another dog at some point and it's a "must have". Again the length is up to you as it slides easily and it does not slide on wood.
Question:	Does this ramp hook to a tailgate, or is it just able to hook to a bumper
Answer:	It does not hook to anything. It has rubber cups on the top and bottom of ramp ( underneath ). My parents are in their 80's. They use it for their dog (100 lbs.) To get in RV 5 steps high! Does not move at all. It's great!
Question:	I have a 170 lb English Mastiff. Is this ramp- when extended to its full length- sturdy? Does it 'bounce" when walking on it
Answer:	I have a 180lb English Mastiff who is recovering from CCL surgery on her leg. We bought this ramp to assist her in getting up and down off the deck and front steps. My husband (235 pounds) tried it before we started training the dog on it. We had her trained on it in a matter of a couple of days. She was a little nervous at first but does very well on it now. When extended all the way out it does have a very slight bounce to it but not enough to deter her from going up and down it. The ramp has been very helpful with getting her in and out of the house. I am very pleased that we bought it.

Answer:	It has 2 round rubber disks. I have a Ford SUV and 2 English Mastiffs that are around 170 lbs each. My younger one is a little crazy and was running up and down it. It did not move. My older girl is very skiddish and she felt secure on it.

Answer:	Great question! If the backseat has a headrest for the top support strap to loop around, you should absolutely be able to use this!

Answer:	Yes. There is a cover to wrap the lap belt onto the seat cover. You need to tie this unit down, very tightly at every point. Because the bottom is very slippery.

Answer:	Absolutely! This is the best product discovery I've had in years, and recommend it to everyone. My older dog has decided she doesn't like going out to potty. I found she had been sneaking a pee on my throw rugs. Could be worse, right? Anyway, threw them in the wash with just a bit of this. They smelled like fresh laundry dried outside. Answer:	Yes, I use it on all surfaces, hardwood, linoleum, vinyl, tile, sheet rock, carpet, fabric, and clothing and it is the best pet stain cleaner I have ever used!!

Answer:	Firstly, use a fine black light UV flashlight to find the carpets stain. I would recommend a great black light FLASHLIGHT Asin: B07BC8L581, it is a real 365nm black light with black filter lens, you are sure to see it.

Answer:	It has worked well for me. It reduces the smell pretty well. I typically wash first, then a second time with a cup of the solution. It also works well if you wet the garnet then apply the solution. I don't apply to dry fabric. It removes most of the smell but not all. Uruines ruins stretchy fabric like bathing suites. If that's your application, then it's already too late. You can fix the smell, but not the destruction. That's the urine doing the damage, not the Clorox.

CONCRETE & TILE

Safe to use on concrete and tile! When using on concrete, we recommend covering the treated area with plastic to keep the product wet and active for a few hours. Because concrete is so porous, a treated area can dry out very quickly, especially in warm climates. Placing a piece of plastic or a damp towel over the treated area can help keep the product wet and active.

HARDWOOD & LAMINATE

Our product is safe to use on most hardwood and laminate floors. Just be sure to test in a small inconspicuous area first and don't leave any standing liquid on the wood. Too much liquid in some wood types can lead to swelling.

LAUNDRY

Need to wash something with a gross stain? Pre-spray the soiled area and allow to soak for ten minutes before putting in the wash as usual. You can also use 1-2 cups of Stain & Odor Eliminator in a pre-soak cycle to help eliminate gross stains and smells. Then wash as usual.

DIRECTIONS FOR SURFACE STAINS

Pre-test for colorfastness on a hidden area. if color appears on cloth, discontinue use. Remove as much of the stain or pet urine as possible using a highly absorbent towel.

1. Apply a liberal amount of Rocco & Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator to the affected area.

2. Let stand 30-60 minutes, then blot with a cloth and let air dry.

STEP 1: SOAK THE STAIN

Use enough product to thoroughly penetrate both the carpet and underlying pad (or upholstery and underlying cushion). The best practice is to try and soak the problem area with an amount Stain & Odor Eliminator equal to the urine. This allows the product to penetrate deep into the carpet and come in full contact with the urine.

STEP 2: LET IT SIT

One hour is the minimum recommended time for existing stains and/or severe odor problems. The longer the treated area can soak, the better. In some circumstances it might be beneficial to allow the affected area to soak overnight.

STEP 3: COVER WITH TOWEL AND WEIGHT

Fold a towel and place it over the treated area with a weighted object on top to wick the residual liquid out of the affected area.

STEP 4: VACUUM & INSPECT

Once dried, vacuum and inspect the treated area. Stain and odor should be gone. If not, repeat procedure. Older stains or persistent odor problems may require more than one treatment.

Question:	How do you train an older stubborn dog to use the stairs
Answer:	Lots of treats! I have two dogs that use the stairs. One got it right away with treats and the other one it took a few days. Just use treats to coax and the dog will eventually use them. Hold the treat initially and then put one on a stair where they have to actually reach for it by moving up one step. Eventually you will get the dog to move further and further up. Just be patient. :)

Answer:	Each step is about 4" high from the floor. Total about 16" with an additional 4" to get on a bed. Perfect for my Maltese. Not too steep, but sometimes, if he's running, it's a bit slippery.

Answer:	My Pitt Mix is 70lbs and there was no problem with her on the steps. They are quite deep and she went up them so fast she was probably on them for 20seconds or less. Then she just jumped onto the couch. They also worked great for my car because ramps didn't work on my sedan. These steps rested on the seat. I did put a small rug under the foot portion because it was on the driveway. I am so happy with these steps. I wish I knew about them sooner. My dog is 10 years old.

Question:	What weight of dog can it support
Answer:	This product did not work for me. I have 2 dogs, 7 lbs and 10 lbs at the time I purchased it. The surface was so slick neither one could use it. The holes were so misaligned it could not be assembled fully, but well enough to try it with my very lightweight dogs. I don't recommend this product. It had a pretty steep pitch, as I recall, combined with the slippery covering.
Question:	I purchased this ramp on sept 2016. it was fine at first and not my 8lb dog is sliding on it. how can i fix this issue? thanks
Answer:	THIS IS FOR THE NEXT FEW QUESTIONS:..... Yank that carpet up completely. No matter how “good” a quality they put on the ramp in more recent years, any carpet will eventually get a little slick after time from repeated use. This is why a LOT of people slip and fall down their stairs. So yank off the carpet, go to your nearest big tool and appliance, etc. store (Lowe’s, Home Depot, whatever you have where you’re at) and get some non-skid. Cut some wide strips to size and lay that down all the way up your ramp (and of course on the flat part at the top, too). Your baby will be able to grip the ramp floor ALL the way up and have a little grip at the top to push off onto the bed. NO MORE SLIPPING/SLIDING. Also, an added benefit I discovered and LOVED! Every time they walk across the non-skid, they are getting a little nail trim; I found I wasn’t having to trim their nails nearly as much! —Now as far as the ramp breaking, at the time I bought my first one, I had a 60 pd pit bull baby that I KNEW would want to use the ramp that the little ones were using (because she had NO IDEA she wasn’t just as little as they were) so I reinforced it by cutting down a piece of 1/4” plywood and attaching it to the bottom of the ramp (about a 1/2” from around the edges). Then I added 2 4x4 legs somewhere midway where her weight MIGHT be a factor. Not everyone would want or even need to do all that. These are just some ideas to help with these first few questions. I liked this ramp and plan to order a few more but I’m getting ready to build my house and want to know exactly how many and where they are going to go. By the way, I’m a girl (well, 50 years old, but a girl at heart still) and figured out how to make this ramp work to my advantage for my doggies whom I love and adore with all my heart. It was NOT REALLY a lot of work or money (by the way, Lowe’s cut my plywood to the size I wanted so just ask them). So easy and cheap. Ramp is SOOOO worth it. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Hello -- In my opinion, I would not take the risk! I have a yellow lab and she weighs roughly 80 pounds. She has only three legs and the ramp split in two when she was less than half way up the ramp. She, of course, fell from the ramp and injured her front paws and I'm sure will never come near another "ramp" type device. For the safety of your "baby" I would definitely not recommend this item to you or anyone else! I can not recommend another product but I have NO reservations in cautioning and advising against this product. If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them if I can.
Question:	I heard that the carpet on this was not good, and the most dogs would slide down. I contact Solvit and they have changed the carpet on this, true
Answer:	I got my slide (I mean ramp) the other day. My 35lb very good climber slid off. She tried desperately to dig her nails in and it just made it worse. The carpet does have a texture and looks like it should be fine. I believe it's because the fibers are looped so although it's not flat, when stepping on it the fibers flatten in one direction and the texture becomes irrelevant. Maybe over time with use they get rougher. I spoke with the PetSafe people and they claimed there were no complaints about the carpet -- which is obviously very irritating -- but I really needed a ramp. This is my fix: I put this anti slide rubber sheet on top of the carpet, attached with carpet tape https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PY3IA4Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. There's nothing special about this brand, you can use the stuff to line drawers, the pad that goes under carpets. or mattress. It's all the same -- textured rubber that stops slipping. It's not all that much less slippery, but that texture seems to make all the difference. It was a pain in the butt and an added expense, but there aren't a lot of good ramp options. There's a great looking handmade one on Etsy, but it's about $60 more with shipping. If I did it all over I would probably get the Etsy one because I ended up spending extra anyway, but this fix seems to work and I could never rebox it to send it back.
